- Thank God, she was able to afford the hospital stay. 28 years in a coma...wow, Bush beat her record though at 61 years in one.

- Bandmom, I''m sorry about your horrifying experience. Presumably your kids are glad to still have their mother around?
Not everyone reports the bad experience you had. The boy I mentioned earlier could hear people saying he was really dead and the plug needed to be pulled, and he said he wanted to throw them out the window. - Reply to this comment
- Mtminds -- what a heartless and idiotic comment. If her kids were "greedy" and "dying for her fortune" wouldn''t they have pulled the plug decades ago, and saved millions while netting a huge inheritance? You are obviously another vegetable being kept alive by artificial life support.

- Bandmom, much sympathy for your experience, but...would you rather they had pulled the plug after, say, four weeks? Who decides when enough time has passed? Can''t we leave that up to God?

- A wonderful quality of life. Kept alive by greedy children dieing for her fortune.

- Shanev, by your own callous thinking...perhaps you also think that you should be put to sleep?

- As one that was in a coma for 5 weeks, I can tell you that it''s one of the worst thing''s that can happen to u. you have very bad, terror thing''s that you dream?(I don''t know what else to call it)All I know is that a few hour''s seem like year''s, I suffered during a war, had snake''s all around me, thought my kids were very much older, didn''t remember friend''s and family that came to sit with me , and so many horrible thing''s that I won.t even tell you. Just know that if I were in that position again, I would want someone to pull the plug, if I did''t come out of it within 6 month''s or a year, at the most. Unless you''ve lived through it, you''ll never understand, It''s one of the most terrifieing thing''s that will ever happen to you. I still have to ask my family if certain thing''s actually happened. It''s so real that you don''t beleive people when they tell you it didn''t happen. Some thing''s you just have to see for your self.

- Shanev -- She wasn''t on a respirator, she was in a coma. The fact that you think you have the authority to dictate that the victim of a murder attempt should be finished off by the government speaks volumes of your shallow moral code. You think that someone -- with the means to be kept alive with the hope of someday coming out of the coma -- should be killed instead. Now who is the vegetable in this discussion?
