It is ridiculous to even think that America could introduce any form of gun control laws.
If that was done, it would become so much more difficult for criminals etc, to obtain guns, as they would not so readily be able to steal them from those responsible licenced gun owners, who so obligingly leave them laying around.
What a terrifying situation, a few lives may be saved.
In my country, which has a population equivalant to 6.8% of that in America, we have approx 203 murders by all means each year, America averages 85 gun deaths a day.
Incidentally we have gun control laws. [Not gun Ban laws.]

Good afternoon America, here4s a voice from across the Big Pond (=Scandinavia). If you can4t relate this incident to your gun laws in general, you4re in trouble. Sure, mexicans or blacks might be more involved in gang criminality (on the lowest level) but your gun laws sure do give just about EVERYBODY the possibility to carry a gun "just in case".
