Comments on: FBI Agent Slain In Drug Raid
Rookie Agent In Pittsburgh, 33, Was Former Cop, Teacher
- If drug pushers are so dangerous they should be blown away, what does that do to the perspective of what congress and wall st have done to the economic system and how many lives they have ruined...while a select few are allowed to rake in millions, all the 401k''s lost,I just wonder which offense you find worse? Rob billions from millions of people or, sell drugs the government says are illegal, while they let pharmaceutical companies sell unproven drugs that are killing people? If you don''t think so check out the whole story on aspartane, its in artificial sweeteners, medicines, and many products. It''s original use was biological warfare. So before you start saying its all right to blow away drug dealers ..that group might be bigger than you thought and not just street drugs.

Slowly but surely, we are becoming like Russia, and Germany of yore.
All because of this ignorant so-called War on Drugs. - Reply to this comment

You noticed that too huh?
They have been pulling a lot of posts in the last week or so. I wonder what the deal is? - Reply to this comment
- I have no problem blowing drug pushers away. I have no problem with search warrants. However, I have a big issue with "no-knock" warrants where the agents break into a dark house (i.e. home invasion) and charge into a bedroom carrying automatic weapons. If the guy is a crimnal, he will come out eventually and you can grab him then. If you wake a person in his own bedroom and he/she sees people carrying guns it is a natural response to defend yourself. It is only protecting home and family if you do not recognize who the invaders really are. Unless there is a risk to individuals such as in a hostage/kidnapping scenario, there is not reason to break into a home without warning. This may not have been anything like that but a number of good men and women on both sides get killed because of the gestapo-like tactics of home invasions by police officers.

- notice how our government is always at WAR with something? Hard to imagine from a country that is supposed to be PEACE loving? A lot of things congress has imposed upon the people need to be looked at,while we are at it lets just reload congress with everyday citizens, at least that way we would have some representation and a little say about where our money goes.Heaven knows our tax dollars have been wasted to no limits by those who have made life long careers off tax dollars and are not going to be part of any sense able solution, as greed is all they know.

I know that if you at least legalized weed, nobody would die.
I have never heard, read one news story where somebody died because of smoking weed.
Of course, I would have a problem legalizing these other drugs though. They are dangerous.... - Reply to this comment
- The War on Drugs was a LOST CAUSE from Day One. Now that it''s even MORE MILITARIZED than when it began we are seeing more KIA on both sides.
Gee, I thought the FBI manpower was re-prioritized to combat terrorism after 9/11/01. What a waste they''re still piddling around with "drugs" sticking their fingers in the over-flooding *** and losing an agent!
Drug Prohibition needs to be repealed. Even enlightened cops say so.

- So if you legalize drugs you think people who take them will act like normal civilized human buildings? Boy are you dreaming. Alcohol is legal and how many people die because of that every year!?

- This was most certainly a "no-knock" raid and if that is the case then the agent in question deserves what he got. Maybe the police will rethink their policy when they bust down doors without any warning. Their willingness to sacrifice their lives for the sake of evidence is a foolish concept. This is the result.

- If we didn''t have the Mexican mafia or whoever they are shooting up people in Arizona, I might consider the legalization of drugs but at this point in time, I don''t think so.
Incidentally, impeach____w, you need to reread the article. the last agent (Bush) killed was accidentally killed by other agents. This agent (named Crowley) doesn''t appear to have been shot by other agents at this time.
I feel sorry for his family. Holidays are coming and they will be missing a member of their family. - Reply to this comment
- Maybe we shoud rethink this whole drug war?

Well of course we should! If drugs were de-criminalised, this killing would not have taken place.

- They need to see what''s wrong with his partner - Agent Crowley, because when my son was 6 months old the guy next door sold drugs and moved to PittsB, and A sheriff in Crowley Louisiana, harassed me to sell my 4 year daughter to casino patrons.
