I like many others who did not vote for Obama, have accepted his victory, and now have a wait and see attitude towards the the course that he will take. We can only hope that he will make the right decisions to get our country out of the great difficulties that we now find ourselves in. While we may not agree with many of the ideas that he has presented to the American people during his campaign, and we hope that once he is in office, he will realize that some of the ideas he has contemplated could be better served in other ways. Beyond that, we hope for what is best for our country, and all of the citizens in our country.

This is such the perfect demonstration of exactly what America elected earlier this month....

All this cat squawling over less than 80 square miles carved out of hundreds of thousands of square miles of some of the most desolate wilderness in this nation??

78 square miles upon which may set what a dozen pump jacks scattered miles apart??

And you neo-Marxist wonder why us real Americans are so concerned with you entrusting our nation to your 50%-Amerifrican boy and his nation hating libtard Demoturd suckbuddies.

At a time in American history when we as Americans all need to pull together, and unify ourselves to overcome the problems that we are now facing, I find it disheartening that posters on both sides of the political spectrum, do not realize this. It seems to me that there has been enough hatred and name-calling over the past several years to do most of us for a life time.

As a independent voter, I have to say that I find many of the whimsical and derogatory comments made by many of the Democrat posters on this site to be disheartening.

We as a nation are in some of the worst times in American history, and for there to be any hope for recovery it is going to take every American working together to do it. Unfortunately, when I read what these posters are presenting to the other readers, I know it will do little to achieve such accomplishments.

All of the name calling and elitist attitudes reflected by the liberals since the election of Obama is at the very least counterproductive. One would have hoped that the liberals would have accepted the victories they achieved in the election with more graciousness, and humility than many of them have shown.

This Administration - and the Republicans in general - will be the death of America.

Our nation simply CANNOT permanently maintain an economy at our population level based upon harvesting our resources - from foodstuffs to timber to energy sources to ores to the steel and copper that remain in our empty and decaying factories - to sell to the nations where we exported our manufacturing and service industries.

I remember SCREAMING when Clinton said "Don''t worry - we''re transitioning to a service economy!"...because I KNEW three things:

First, transitioning to a "service economy" put all of our eggs in one basket. Secondly, that basket could and would ALSO be offshored. And finally, our cost of living and demands for worker, consumer, and enviromental protections meant that we could NEVER compete with those countries where "the corporations" would choose to site their holdings.

I see at the top of the page that Citigroup is about to add 53,000 more workers to the ever growing number of Americans who unwittingly permitted their and America''s future to be destroyed by "free trade" and "trickle down" economics.

America has never had an enemy as successful as Clinton and the Republicans.

I wish Edward Abbey was still around to comment on this. Bush would certainly have gotten an earful.

Bush and the Republicans once again prove that they will bankrupt America for the gas and oil industries but leave nothing for middle class workers in the auto industry. Could we impeach the idiot anyway and let Obama start early?

On Monday, the Bush administration also declared the woodland home of Bambi and Thumper open to big game hunters, calling the talking animals "commie socialists."

As a patriotic American, there would be no more beautiful site to see then an oil derrick next to one of those arches. Just think if we could capture all that energy in Old Faithful. Liberals are upset because they wanted to see $20 a gallon gasoline. They also want people to freeze to death in the winter.

Now wait a minute. Lets not forget all of the Pardons Slick Willie gave in his final days fo office. One was a drug dealer in Ohio that wanted to run for public office under the Democratic ticket. He won!

To see who he gave the best deal to just wait and see what oil company uses him and Darth as lobbyists down the line. He probably will also lobby for the Saudis , I saw again a picture of him and the Saudi king walking around holding hands. I have always heard that the Arabs liked to be close to their little brothers on long caravan trips and maybe thats what they are planning when W moves there after 1/20/09...

This and his pardons list which will run into the thousands are just an example of the corruption of George W. Bush and Richard Cheney.

I would think that Dubya will try to pardon himself for crimes he committed while in office along with Darth, Rummy, Ashcraft, Alberto, Harriet, Feith, Powell, Rice, Gates, Petraeus, Casey, Brownie, Karl, Karen, Tenet, Goss, Delay, Hastert, Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Rick Renzi, etc.
