Then of course, if the United States Government and it''''s vast Military were to convert all their diesel engines to running agriculturally-derives Biodiesel fuel that would eliminate the largest chunk of Imported Oil purchases from overseas.Posted by owlmirror at 11:04 AM : Nov 17, 2008

You must not be listening to your environmentalist friends very closely. They are now complaining that we are using corn for fuel and people all around the world are starving. That the manure used to fertilize the crops are letting off poisons. So. Let''s try this again. What is your REALISTIC suggestion for energy?

T
here are a myriad of methods to harness energy for social consumption.
I myself have an alternative energy innovation which will allow electric automobiles to travel across the country, from coast to coast for very little expense.

There is also the ability to replace all the Oil consumed in making products such as plastics and lubricants through agricultural oils. Then of course, if the United States Government and it''''s vast Military were to convert all their diesel engines to running agriculturally-derives Biodiesel fuel that would eliminate the largest chunk of Imported Oil purchases from overseas.

Now, if you would like to converse and debate this topic as two adults I''''m open to do so but, if you are only going to call names, slander persons and not contribute anything of value, I''''ll say good-bye right now.

One question. Where would you get the electricity needed to power up this electric car?

People say he is quite nice, but who wants nice when you see all the destruction he is leaving behind? These next 60 days cannot pass soon enough because we need a POTUS who actually and genuinely ''''cares about'''' the consequence of his actions. In that regard, W is in a class all his own and I don''''t believe anyone would want to join that particular class since ''''HE CARES NOT WHAT HE CAN DO FOR HIS COUNTRY, BUT WHAT HIS COUNTRY CAN DO FOR HIM''''. He has shown his lack of concern for ''''the people'''' and only his concern for BIG OIL AND WALL STREET during his entire 8 years! SHAME ON HIM!

Would you or anyone EXPECT anything different from W? He has been an unbelievably horrid and disastrous POTUS and one can only believe that he will do everything in his power to make things much worse in every conceivable area of our lives in these last days before he leaves office. He is unconscionable! One could tell that by the way he has completely dumped on the Constitution and the Geneva Convention.

Ok. Let''s put your personal feelings aside. Forget about the fact that bush is an idiot. What do you suggest we do for energy? Let''s be realistic.

Have no fear, President Obama will not allow this to stand.

Department of the Interior nominee

Keith Harper is a partner and chairs the Native American Practice Group at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP. Before that, Keith was a litigator and head of the Washington office of the Native American Rights Fund (NARF). Keith is a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.

Atleast he''''s not lying to us, talking down to us like we are dumb sheep. Bush and his Oil buddies kept telling us it was because of "high demand". What a crock that was/is.....

Well, why don''t we just drill here so we don''t have to deal with "bush''s buddies". Can''t have it both ways. No drilling here, no dealing with Saudis. What do you propose we do? Sell our cars and ride bikes? Tell me. What would you propose? Let''s send the Saudis to h e l l, where they belong and then what? You libs like to point out flaws but you do not make any sensible suggestions.

Im not a democrat or republican. Om not liberal or conservative. Im just plain crazy. Drill everywhere. Just do it. Dont even get me started on those baby seals.

I like many others who did not vote for Obama, have accepted his victory, and now have a wait and see attitude towards the the course that he will take. We can only hope that he will make the right decisions to get our country out of the great difficulties that we now find ourselves in. While we may not agree with many of the ideas that he has presented to the American people during his campaign, and we hope that once he is in office, he will realize that some of the ideas he has contemplated could be better served in other ways. Beyond that, we hope for what is best for our country, and all of the citizens in our country.

Oh but he will take care of us. First when we were paying $4 a gallon for gas his advice was "make sure your tires are properly inflated". Now with his wanting to bankrupt coal his advice will be "bundle up now kiddies, stay warm in your beds, don''t bother going to work today". See. Don''t you feel better now? YES WE CAN!!

What I feel many fail to realize is that at this point their is some divide in our country, and for us to continue onward down paths that we have worn thin, could be treacherous to everyone. If more dire conditions avail themselves on our country, stark divisions among us could very well spark outcomes that none of us would want to see. Because if strain, and tension are combined with hatred, and desperation, the outcome could be volatile. If such were to happen, their would be no winners, no matter what the outcome, because in the end we would all lose, be it in lives, property, or any of the many other facets of our day to day lives.

We cannot hope to change the many issues that now confront us in a day, a week, or even a month. Many of these problems have been created over many years, and because of bad decisions by prior administrations from both sides of the aisle. The time for casting blame and spewing campaign rhetoric should be behind us.

What the future will bring is before us, what we can accomplish as a nation will take all of us doing our part as citizens.
