- But it is not a fact that all has been said that needs to be said about racism.

In my view, Racial hatred is ''evil'' and thats all that ''needs'' to be said. If it is evil, it should not be allowed.... - Reply to this comment
- stlouisman3,
Justification for what?
The Black Panthers was a matter of defense.
The Klan was a matter of offense.
Nobody was beating up the klan in the late 1800s. In fact, the blacks were doing exactly what you complain that they should be doing...trying to take care of their families and make a living. Many did it so well, that the klan started...to put people back into their second class citizen mindset. - Reply to this comment
- The FACT is that being proud of your race is not racism. You can be proud of your race and not feel that it''s superior, and you that would not be racist. Thinking that someone''s race makes them inferior the KEY.
YOU, on the other hand, are just being argumentative. Also, by itself, there''s nothing wrong with that. But the fact that you''re refusing to accept common language makes you a waste of time.
By the way, my source?
The dictionary. - Reply to this comment
- whatithink10, I''m not going to argue about what the KKK thought or didn''t think. I do believe that they believed they were better than the blacks.

- stlouisman3,
Having TRUE pride one ones'' race is seeing ones'' race for what it is...HUMAN.
Not for the things meant to divide us.

- What we''''ve seen here, in part, trying to foist our own weaknesses on others as a way to rationalize our hatred, isn''''t racism either. But it is Racist Apologist.

- stlouisman3,
NOPE.
There wouldn''t have been a Black Panthers without police brutality and nobody helping those in the inner cities against it in the 1960s.
The KKK started in the late 1800s after slavery ended. Do you know blacks made a huge jump in progress after slavery ended during a period called Reconstruction? This scared some whites, not because they thought blacks were worse, but because they feared they''d take over. That had nothing with being proud. That had to do with a fear that somebody else might be stronger. - Reply to this comment
- actornaught, I would call your response to be the basis of much of the problem we have in this country with racism. The KKK is ''proud'' of their race; the White Supremist is proud of their ''race''; the Black Panthers are proud of their ''race''.

- "I am ''proud'' to be [insert your race]" is NOT racist, by itself. Not at all.
And neither is fleeting observations of someone''s race, or serious thoughtful discussions of race.
What we''ve seen here, in part, trying to foist our own weaknesses on others as a way to rationalize our hatred, isn''t racism either. But it is Racist Apologist. - Reply to this comment
- The odds will be over whelming(100 million to 1)for any form of death to happen to obama with the overall blankets of security''s that today has been placed on him tru the goverment.
Example; If obama was killed now,by any person of color, Red, White or black & blue, America would automatic be in a civil racial war. The goverment knows this !!!.
An American racil civil war will eventualy happen any way.
This is the biggest hidden reason of increased gun sales across America & not the possible future restrictive gun laws to be set by obama, but of what is in the air to come........

- ToolMangler, Since one has no choice about theire race, one should not be proud to be any race--people should be proud of themselves and what they achieve, the potential they have---not because of their race.

- Racism is an ugly sense of superiority.
Posted by actornaught at 02:47 PM : Nov 16, 2008
In one form it is. I am ''''proud'''' to be White (that makes me racist) but I don''''t feel superior or inferior to anyone because of ''''race''''. GOD will judge me not other humans. (although most will try), I don''''t answer to them, Just GOD....
