I wonder if Catholic priests use the "doing penance" line on their favorite alterboys.

Women in their first few weeks of pregnancy get the "morning sickness" simply because the so-called fetus at first is a parasite and the body fights it and wants to reject it.

Yeesh. I would hate to be your kid. You refer to your kid as a parasite? Dang. When you or your wife were pregnant (since I do not know if you are a man or a woman) did you touch your wife''s belly and say "that''s my parasite".

Ahh religion. That great excuse to not think, and to let others tell you what to think. Let''''s not turn our brains off every time we walk into a church.

You participate in an ideology because you want to. Nobody forces you to, and this priest has just as much right to state his OPINION as anybody else in the United States. Anybody that follows him, chooses to do it...

That''s where the divergence of opinions comes into play. You''re correct that he has every right to say what he wants. But being a member of the clergy, he is endangering the church''s tax-free status by playing politics with his sermons.

Get real ! My own brother is a priest and he voted for Obama. The war in Iraq is a right to life issue, too. Do we forget that?

If it''s a person it should be able to survive outside the womb and therefore extricating it from the womb is not killing it

The Roe v. Wade decision actually used the ''viable'' term in it''s decision. That''s still up in the air though as it''s been determined to be anywhere between 24 and 28 weeks. Some would argue viability is even sooner.
