Paulson Says Troubled Assets Will Not Be Purchased; Renewed Focus On Consumer Credit
- Buy, Buy, BUY!
If the market hasn''t hit bottom yet, it''s very, very CLOSE! In the next few weeks, I expect a MONSTER rally that could send the Dow skyrocketing 3,000 points or more!
You could make some of the biggest, fastest profits of your investing career simply by buying now and you should do so very quickly.
I expect stocks could SOAR as much as 50% in the coming months as the global bailout of the world''s banks finally gains traction.

- Amazing to see how the back paddling is starting already. Today the banks, tomorrow the auto industry. What''''s next? Target? Walmart? If Joe Self Employed runs his business into the ground because of poor decision no one gives a rats ars. The creditors run him down like a criminal until he/she declares bankruptcy. So why should we bail out GM, Ford etc.? They were ignorant enough not to develop better quality and more fuel efficient cars. Instead they were pushing the Yukon%u2019s Suburban%u2019s and so on. Shame on them. I say let them burn. It%u2019s not our responsibility. Tell the UAW to chuff it and adjust to the competitive market. If they cannot do this. Too bad. The tax payer should not carry the burden of their incompetence. Up until now this was a free enterprise. Once the democrats bail them out we have socialism. Vive la France.

You know, you almost had me agreeing with you....until the end, the part where you are blaming the democrats only for this bailout! My representative voted against this bailout, and he is a Democrat! Did any of your representatives or senators have the balls to vote against the financial bailout? - Reply to this comment
- It''''s pretty clear this is nothing but a massive wealth transfer from Main Street to Wall Street and the big banks, sort of trickle up economics. They couldn''''t get cheap capital by privatizing Social Security so they''''re going this route. These financial gurus could care less about the average Joe (and I don''''t mean that faux plumber) or businesses that actually produce things. They (the Wall Street financiers and big banks) just want all our (working and middle class) money.

You are probably correct. When I was involved with Wall Street, that was the mindset for many of the participants. Those with integrity and honesty have become very rare, or simply left Wall Street, because they lost their stomach for the ruthlessness! And, now we are viewing the reward for those who stayed!! Simple!! - Reply to this comment
- Its'''' a last payoff to Bushit''''s Billionaires. With Phil Gramm''''s help, they''''ll move their assets to Cayman Islands tax shelters. And then Paulson will get a nice, cushy retirement.

HA! You think it will END THERE????
What do you think will happen in the future when our government OWNS STOCK in the businesses it REGULATES???
You''re a smart businessman. Wouldn''t YOU like the government to own stock in a business you owned? If your business loses money, SO DOES THE GOVERNMENT...
Get the picture?
The title of this picture is CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Or should we just call it NATIONALIZATION when the government buys a controlling interest in a business. - Reply to this comment
- Taxes are going to be going way up to pay for all this, no way around it.

- Bailout money is probably going to the politicians somehow. Why else do they want more?
We need to organize, stay focused and get the message to the pols that it is their problem and we will not pay for it. It is so easy for them to spend our money.
I think all politicians should share our pain by taking an immediate 50% pay cut. Don''''''''t want to, then quit. In addition they should set up a bailout corp., put all their life savings in it and lend it to the auto companies. - Reply to this comment
- What congress has allowed to be done is no less than Treason. And they know it.

- Our arguing is exactly what they want. Divide and conquer, and there is no denying this nation has been divided.

- I found this story the other day. Read it carefully and then start emailing or writing your representatives. Pass it along or tell everyone what is about to happen.

The writing is on the wall in this article and we are about to get forced into government run health insurance. Not to mention Obama and his buddies are talking about taxing our health insurance benefits provided by the company. The same thing they were complaining about McCain doing, but they will not offer up a deduction to offset any of the tax.
Also note the phrase ``Once affordable, high-quality, and meaningful health insurance options are available to all Americans through their employees or through the Exchange, individuals would have a responsibility to have health coverage,'''' Who determines what "affordable" is and who pays when the poor can''t afford "affordable". How does a government mandate a monthly expense just because they see it as necessary? As the government plan comes into effect, it will not be long before companies see no reason to offer up health coverage and we are all pushed into government run insurance. As this happens and all become covered under government insurance, doctors will have to accept everyone and the lines at the doctors will be come long and waiting for appointments become endless. - Reply to this comment

- how on earth does anyone not see the war on terror has cost us about the same amount congress wants to give away? And the stupid lie war still goes on adding up as we speak, in money and lives. If your trying to save water you turn off all the faucets where you are losing water, the same thing with money people.quit giving money to stupid white collar criminals, and they are because they have already robbed someone once already to get rich.they should all be charged with bribery for lobbying, Grand larceny, and treason.

- its not going to be socialism we get , because the rich fat cats at the top are going to want to keep everything and they will kill us to do it, that way we are no cost to them, they will keep the timid few lower class alive just to have labor to use for themselves. The war on terror is becoming the terror our government brings upon us.Treason is taking place in the halls of congress and the white house, they tried to take gun rights away and because they didn''t we the people may have to take our government and country back from these white collar, suit and tie terrorists, Thomas Jefferson knew that people needed that right to defend themselves from any government gone wrong.

- They have 700 Billion of OUR money and it doesn''t seem they have a clue how to use it!!! Incredible.
Had the banks worked with homeowners 18 months ago we would not be in this mess. For the most part lenders REFUSED to negotiate. Here in FL the vegetation grows so fast and the humidity does so much damage in a short time... it is incredible to think they would not deal. In 1979 when we had something similiar, at least in CA, banks would work with anyone who said they really wanted to make it work.
I don''t know what happened this time but this is the real reason and these lenders and banks better just suck it up and work with the homeowners.
The Big Three need to lean up. Ford needs to dump Mercury and GM needs to dump everything but GM/Chevrolet.. that is it. Avoid dupication of effort; duplication of executives; duplication of advertizing; duplication of dealerships; duplication of just about everything. Unless they are forced to do that they will not benefit from any loans... They must change. - Reply to this comment
So, "JustIDme, you say you are not a supporter of the behavior Lemmings.
Exactly, specifically, what do you wish the country to come together and support. Specifically, not just all the good things are leaders are certain to do, but specifically what specific actions do YOU want US to support ????

LOL, I like this Lemmings thing you''ve got going. Read the messages I''ve posted and it''s actually pretty clear what I am advocating. I''m talking about ending this strife we''ve got going on. All that people are doing here is throwing mud. How can you possibly get anything done if you can''t see where another person is coming from? I want to see us find a common ground; find a common goal to work towards. And instead of throwing up resistance for the sake of resisting, let''s discuss where we agree and where we don''t agree and resolve the issue to make it mutually acceptable.- Reply to this comment
