In some respects we are all jews in a holocaust.

some are just unfortunate to carry the "cross"
of being a jew.

Those mormons are C-R-A-Z-Y!!!

They can "baptize" anyone they want, but it won''t accomplish anything. However, since they''ve been asked to stop doing it, and they said they would stop doing it, it is incredibly disrespectful of the Jewish religion and of the Holocaust survivors and their relatives to continue doing it.

"It is so sad that people who are NOT Latter-day Saints (the correct name for Mormons, by the way)"

It would probably be good to mention the full name of the church is: The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. Your enemies like to say you are not Christian, so it is important to emphasize JESUS CHRIST anytime you talk religion to deflect that attack.

It is so sad that people who are NOT Latter-day Saints (the correct name for Mormons, by the way) think they know so much about the church and feel compelled to repeat all the half-truths and outright lies they know about the church. I have been a Latter-day Saint for 12 years now, and every day I am more sure that I made the right decision in converting from Catholicism.

I understand the outrage felt by the Jewish groups and others when their beloved dead are baptized by proxy. However, I truly believe that if everyone who rails against our sacred -- SACRED -- practices would do as I did, read, study, listen, pray, and be open to the promptings and confirmation of the Holy Ghost, they would come to know that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. When baptisms or other ordinances are performed by proxy for deceased persons, they do NOT force the deceased to change religions against their will. The ordinances are in effect being offered up as a GIFT to the deceased, which they may accept and claim in the spirit world if they so choose. It is rather like a person being offered a copy of a Book of Mormon. He is not being forced to take the book, and he does not automatically become LDS if he does accept the gift. But he can choose to accept it and read it and live by it if he so chooses.

People -- God is LOVE. God has given us FREE WILL. He doesn''t take that away EVER, not in this life and not in the life hereafter.

Perhaps the Prop 8 amendment in California should have said that Marriage is between one living man and one living woman ....

I was raised in the Church. At the age of 11 I was molested by a priest and that set me on a course that changed my life. For several years after this happened I thought it was my fault and I grew to hate myself. I felt guilty and dirty. I had no one to confide in and kept this terrible secret locked inside. When I reached my late teens I started to wonder about religion and the existance of a God. So I started to read about all religion. The more research I did, the more I became convinced that it was all just a con game to manipulate the masses. When I got to the Book Of Mormon I was amazed to find that it read like a science fiction novel. It was a collection of some of the most rildicilous stories I had ever seen. After spending much time looking at the concept of religion I bacame an atheist and have lived happily ever after. I do not put the religion of others down nor do I attempt to "convert" others to my ideas. But what I see is groups of people at each others throats over a collection of fairy tales. I have learned to keep my beliefs to myself since there are so many out there who actually think I am in league with the devil. It is my responsibility to live a good and decent life which I try to do. I believe that we all know right from wrong and how silly to believe that you can do wrong, get forgiven, and do more wrong. Learn from your mistakes and resolve not to repeat them.

I have researched a ton on the web about mormons. Better yet, I have a lot of mormon friends, many of whom have left that group in utter disgust and told me what really goes on, not what they want you to think they are about. The most dangerous people on earth are the ones who truly believe they know what is best for everybody else.

To davidhinkson: Why can''t they respect people who have a different belief system? Why do they pick these fights, instead of just living a decent life and, in that way, selling their "belief product" through example, instead of in-your-face bullying?
