Comments on: "Yes We Did": Black Americans Rejoice
Barack Obama's Landmark Presidential Win Inspires Optimism Across Generational Lines
- In reading these comments I feel that some (not all)people think that Obama is going to fail. I don''t think so because he has made history today and he doesn''t want to go down in the history books as a failure - the whole world is going to be looking at his every move and he will have to make alot of positive accomplishments to run for the 2nd term. I believe he is determine to succeed and I just ask that he treats all americans fairly and not bring on more give away programs to certain populations.

Thank you for your opinion. Actually I think we are all much more alike than we are different from one another . . . . . . .
But I''m convinced down to my very soul that our country''s future rests on our ability as individual patriots to respect each other and work together no matter what we think of the person in the White House.
This is how we MUST demonstrate our love of our country. We can all put our country first by respecting each other. It''s not about Red States and Blues States any more. - Reply to this comment

Because the father killed her..the drug dealer. She had a degree.BTW as for healing I have done that. IN retrospect every single human alive has some sort of racism in them and if they say they don''''t they are lying...
Okay...I must apologize to you for my thoughtless remarks. When i made them I had a feeling that there was more to it than i was able to acknowledge and so I therefore should have held my tongue. There is no love like a mother''s love and you taking care of your grandbabies is fully representative of that. I don''t know when this happened to your child but I am sure that you will have a part of your heart missing forever and into infinity. Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your own beloved daughter.
Family values are far more important to me than any race issue, especially when my own family is very, very multiracial. Perhaps part of my joy at seeing Obama as President is because he is one who can absolutely represent the differences in people because he himself is more connected than most of the politicians we''ve seen grab that brass ring that personifies hope and promise.
Again, my apologies for my bad mouth and thoughtless words. - Reply to this comment

If only they would. But too many now are looking for their handout. They think Obama''s going to give them money he''s taking from those who actually earned their money. The sad thing is, they may be right. - Reply to this comment
- Finally, the blacks have no excuse for being lazy aces. This election proves that the white man hasn''t held them down it has been themselves. Affirmative action should be abolished today. So today may be a sad day for the blacks because now they have zero excuses. Get off the welfare, get a job no excuses.

- GET OVER IT, point #1 = His RACE is not irrelevant, its what got him elected!
GET OVER IT, point #2 = Abortion terminates a pregnancy, it has nothing to do with ''''babies''''.

1. Okay, I get it. his race is relevant if you voted for him. But you''re a racist if you voted against him.
2. Have fun explaining that to God. You can believe it with all your heart, but it IS a baby. And you WILL be held to account. Nothing you say or do can change that. - Reply to this comment
- You ''''Ladies'''' have so much pride in your gender, dont you?
You killed Geraldine Ferraro, castrated Hillary Clinton, and DeNeutered Sarah Palin!
Some gender loyalty, huh?

- Men have a problem and that being gendar roles, I am thrilled we have a new president to be.. Us ladies vpted for him.. I think lady shall win it. That scares men. It is time to have person of colour win it and have first lady of colour..As a nation we should be happy for the Obama Family. So what its a black family. The man is the next president. And he will be call Mr. Presdent or President Obama.. not Mr Obama.

- His race is irrelevant. All of you who voted for him have blood on your hands. He will further expand abortion rights and the slaughter of untold millions of precious innocent babies will continue to occur. Good luck trying to explain your way out of that in front of Almighty God on Judgment Day!
