Ah, the "good old days."

During WWII I lived with my Grandparents in the mountains. We had the little house behind the big house and a washtub in the kitchen also. I wouldn''t trade the experience for anything. But we had fun...

When I was a kid, one of my many aunts & uncles did not have running water or electricity. I used to stay with them occasionally during the summer.

Saturday was bath day and we all bathed in a wash tub. It was set up in the dining room (part of the kitchen). It took a long time to pump (hand pump) the water to fill it, so everyone bathed in the same water.

Adults first, kids last.

During the week, people took a sponge bath (wet cloth) if they really got dirty. But, Saturdays were bath day when everyone took a bath.

Ah, the "good old days."

This does sound familiar. I had a great aunt and uncle that lived on a farm in Alberta. When I was young, we used to go there every so often. They also didn''t have running water or anything. They had some chemical toilet thing in the bathroom. It stunk REAL bad. And then there was all the cow poop outside. Anyways, I ended up puking my guts out and we had to leave one time. I was a wus back then, but I grew out of it. I got used to roughing it.:) I''ve done lots of camping, where there has been no toilets and water.

So not one of these guys figured out that their friend was NOT in the car with them? After all: "they noted the three men had been friends for years."

Yeah right....

I take a bath every Saturday in the summer months.

Which reminds me, it''''s Saturday. . .

Oh, never mind, it''''s October.

Posted by tuckerndfw at 01:29 PM : Oct 25, 2008

You don''t want to be having a bath if you don''t need one.

I mean, after you get used to a smell, you just don''t notice it anymore.:)

This can and does happen.

In greater Vancouver, Canada last month, September, a man was hit by car then picked up by a city bus and dragged for aprox. 7 miles.
You could check this out with the RMCP.
These things happen.

Bush does not own or live on a ranch.

Posted by tuckerndfw at 12:59 PM : Oct 25, 2008

REALLY? I saw him walking around on his property once and he was wearing jeans and a cowboy hat. Come to think of it though, I don''t recall seeing any horses.

But also, if it were an accident, why is it only the left foot to show up?

Posted by slim1h2o at 12:51 PM : Oct 25, 2008

No, there was one right foot, too.

I mainly wear whatever shoes I find in my closet, none of which have pointed toes. And, quite often, don''''t match. But, what do I care so long as they protect my feet?

Posted by tuckerndfw at 12:46 PM : Oct 25, 2008

Haha, that''s right, it''s all about protecting your feet.
