I have not been finished with high school and college so long that I have forgotten what creeps the athletes and coaches were. They were flunkies, bullies and thugs. Today they are cops, gamblers, bookies, drunks and other never-do-wells.

You are clearly associating your issues with a handful of "jocks" and making a blanket statement towards all of them.

Trust me, not all atheletes are as evil as you portray. There are plenty of other non jock types that rank right up there in the creep category.

Your irrational blanket statements only make yourself look ignorant, but feel free.

Let me guess mjm, at one point in your life you were considered an athlete? That may be why you appear to be so touchi regarding preferential treatment of athletes.

Calm down Nancy, I''m all for prosecuting the guilty. I just find it odd how people are so quick to make character judgements against atheletes as a whole. There are plenty of creepy people in this world...

Or in the case of the Duke lacrosse team, it didn''''t happen. If they boys did commit the crime, they will be punished...don''''t you worry about that. You can calm down about your hatred to atheletes now.

It''s not so much athletes as each segment of society has a tendency to grant preferential treatment to "celebrities".

I don''t understand why it takes 4 months for a rape kit to get it''s results...

Why was this teenage girl at an unsupervised party with a bunch of ***** jocks?

The parents should be at least partly responsible.

I don''t know what to believe with stories like this. Maybe the boys did rape her, perhaps because they felt entitled or invincible to repercussions.

Maybe the girl wanted to do all those boys at once but when people found out what was going on she changed her story to save her reputation.

And really, without a video camera or her being beaten and injured internally, it really comes down to who has the more convincing story. I hope the factual truth comes out in this case, and not some fabrication by either side.

This is nothing new. We''''ve been hearing about high school football players raping cheerleaders for many years. It''''s always been tolerated. They don''''t get prosecuted because they''''re GOOD students. This will continue until these worthless little b a s t a r d s are treated like the criminals they are and sent to prison. Why should star atheletes be above the law?

Learn English syntax. "rape at school parties" implies that this was a "school party" or a school sponsored party, or the party was at the school! MORON!

What is going on? First teen gunmen in school and now teen rapes at school parties. It''s about the future people not the past. America Wake Up and Smell the Magnolia Tree. Posted by patsy_owens at 03:14 PM : Oct 22, 2008

Did you even READ THIS ARTICLE? Sheesh, you must be a GOPer. The party was at a residence, NOT at the school. Posted by docpeter1953 at 03:27 PM

docpeter1953 - Did you even bother to read patsy_owens" post? She said "teen rapes at school "parties". She didn''t say anything about it happening at the school. Looks like you need to learn to read too.

As if this was a new thing happening out there?? When the media, the courts and our society stop making the woman look like she "asked for it" or lied about it happening, men will do this and hope that the female victim is humiliated and they are let off.

Ah yes, the same youth that have been raised to be irresponsible, disrespectful, self-absorbed and inhumane by over-indulgent absent parents who think love, guidance and proper upbringing means showering them with anything and everything. We''ve also become to lax with these punks and need to treat them like the criminals they''ve become and make them suffer and punish them without feeling sorry for them. This is why teens shouldn''t be given the vote. Their still mentally dysfunctional and immature.
