Cooey had tried to avoid execution by arguing that his obesity would prevent humane lethal injection because viable veins in his arms are hard to find.....

They should have just used his femoral or jugular veins...with no spray on numbing agent.

The British gave up the death penalty back in the early 1960''s. The death penalty was found to be so arbitrarily carried out in 20th century Britain that it made no sense to carry it out for anyone. Americans think they have found a humane way of carrying out the death penalty with lethal injection. Sometimes the inmate has to wait 45 minutes or more until a vein or other problems are worked out and the inmate is finally put to death. The British used hanging and usually they got the grim business over with in way less than a minute frequently 30 seconds or less. Which method is more humane the quick British long drop hanging or the American hope to find a vein lethal injection method?

The economics behind the death penalty also clearly show that it is far cheaper to impose life without parole than expensive legal appeals associated the death penalty. The average cost for all of the appeals for a single capital case can be many millions of dollars and drag on for decades. Life imprisonment is much cheaper because it reduces the amount of litigation substantially. The money wasted on capital cases would be much better spent on education and other social programs that keep kids in school and out of drug gangs. The death penalty issue elects politicians to office but it has nothing to do with reducing crime in America.

I am glad that it happend. I am not normally one for being so hateful, but I hope the fat f*@ker suffered just like his victims did.

Let the death row dudes eat as much as they want. After they kick off we can render them down & make biofuel out of them. At least they will make a positive contribution to society for once in their life.

Being into "watching" is one thing, and while someones taste could be in question, it is certainly not a death penalty activity.

U2PlayNice at 02:43 PM : Oct 14, 2008

Being "into watching" is one step away from doing it.

For real,,,,

The say murderers cannot be rehabilitated to make them stop their criminal ways.

Well I disagree with that statement. This murdering
fat scum was executed,so now he is rehabilitated.
