NOTICE WHAT THE NOBEL LAUREATE SAID....THERE ARE GOING TO BE MOMENTS OF DEPRESSION COMING ALONG!!! LOL. I ASK MYSELF THIS: WHY IS IT EVERY NOBEL LAUREATE AGREES THAT WE ARE IN A PILE OF DOO DOO HERE WHEREAS EVERY CRIMINAL SWEARS ON HIS OWN MOTHER THAT THE GOOD TIMES ARE HERE TO STAY? WHY ITS CONFOUNDING ME...REALLY IT IS. PAUL VOLCKER SAID TODAY THAT THE BAILOUT IS GOING TO MAKE THE "RECESSION MORE MANEGEABLE"...ER WHAT HE REALLY MEANT TO SAY IS MAKE THE "DEPRESSION" MORE MANAGEABLE...PROBABLY. WELL TO BE HONEST I TOO WAS BEHIND THIS PLAN OF GUARANTEEING NEW LOANS. THIS WAS NEEDED TO SLOW OUR DECENT INTO THE ABYSS...BUT IN THE END THIS IS ONLY A PARACHUTE AND PEOPLE SHOULD NOT GO OUT AND SPEND THEIR LIFE''S SAVINGS ON THE STOCK MARKET!!! I REALLY THINK PEOPLE SHOULD BE CAREFUL HERE...THERE IS A LOT OF DOWNSIDE RISK COMING UP SO ONLY THE PROS SHOULD BE IN THIS MARKET OR THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY WANT AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

They will have to. He has no record of his own to showcase.

I don''t know what your point is in posting excerpts from Michele Obama''s Princeton thesis, written in 1985, other than trying to paint her as somehow out of touch, or worse some kind of racist! What you don''t point out is that her thesis consisted of interviews with black female alumni of Princeton, and their experiences at the time they attended.

I think her ''mindset'' is perfectly normal for someone in her position!

In other words, it is not Michelle Obama''s motives I question, it is yours!!

NY Times Sept 1999

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
Fannie Mae, the nation''s biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.
Ouch ! Dummiecrats !

John F. Kennedy wrote %u201CProfiles In Courage%u201D, a book about men that had the courage to stand up to their convictions, avoid the easy way, and fight in the face of incredible odds. Were he writing his book today, John McCain, a naval officer like himself, would take up an entire chapter. By comparison, Barrack Obama, would not even be a footnote. That, my friends and enemies, says it all.

Never a Governor, never a VP, never a leader of a state congressional body, never a cabinet member, never served in the armed forces and has not served even one full term in the US Senate. .......hmmm. Highly questionable associations (William Ayers), undoubtedly took money from Fannymay and Freddy Mack, comes from a party with a history of leadership by husbands that lie to their wife (Clinton, Spitzer, Edwards, Jackson). His most renowned accomplishments are two books......he wrote about himself, not about economics, foreign policy, or government. Is this the man you want to stand behind the seal that reads President of the United States? Remember, the world judges us by who leads us. Who has Obama lead?

Obama went on to tell his audience that the Kennedys, Jack and Bobby, decided to do an airlift. They would bring some young Africans over so that they could be educated and learn all about America. His grandfather heard that call and sent his son, Barrack Obama, Sr. to America.

Verified %u201CTrue%u201D by Snopes:

Within an Obama speech about his father%u2026%u2026%u2026.

%u201CThe problem with that scenario is that having been born in August 1961, the future senator was not conceived until sometime in November 1960. So if his African grandfather heard Kennedy%u2019s words that sent %u201C a shout across oceans%u201D, inspiring him to send his goat-herder son to American, it was not Democrat Jack Kennedy he heard, or this brother Bobby, it was Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower%u201D.

Conclusion, Obama is a liar inventing himself, creating powerful, moving, images that simply are totally untrue. Snopes calls them anachronisms but people with plain old
Common sense call them out and out lies exposed by facts to the contrary.

Obama will probably win and we we will have the worst LIAR ,Socialist Communist Racist in the White House eever that we can IMAGINE . He will last for 4 YEARS and probably replaced by HILLARY who while a LIAR is not as bad as OBAMA I,a sure you will call me a racist . But I loved POWELL . I like A DAVIS ALA DEMO in Congress . Verified by Snopes: The mindset of Michelle Obama.

%u201CAs I enter my final year at Princeton, I find myself striving for many of the same goals as my white classmates %u2013acceptance to a prestigious graduate school or a high-paying position in a successful corporation%u201D She wrote citing the universities conservative values as a likely cause. %u201CPredominately White universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of the enrollments,%u201D she said noting the small size of the African American studies department and that there were only five black tenured professors at the University across all departments.
Conclusions:
( 1 ) Students and their families should not strive for acceptance to prestigious Graduate schools or high paying corporate jobs.
(2) She could have gone elsewhere but it took her three years to figure out she should have gone to a predominantly black university.
(3) Princeton should have catered socially and academically to blacks instead of the majority of the students.
(4) All departments should be the same size rather than be determined by need to service the students interested in the courses

Excuse me, deb, you are reacting to my post without reading them.
Apparently you are aware of the dems hand in causing this and I am stating that as well.
It''''s childish to resort to namecalling anyone, but to use that tactic on people on your side of an issue shows you are reacting without thinking.

Sorry if I mis read your post. It is gone so I can not go back and re-read it. There seems to be a plethura of blame everything on Bush and by party association McCain on this site so I sometimes react with the word idiot. But I do not resort to using profanity as most of the radical left do.

From Dreams of My Father:''''I ceased to advertise my mother''''s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.''''

From Dreams of My Father : ''''I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother''''s race.''''

From Dreams of My Father:''''There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.''''

From Dreams of My Father: ''''It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.''''

From Dreams of My Father:''''I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn''''t speak to my own. It was into my father''''s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I''''d packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.''''

So Obama is not a racist, he just never mentioned his mother was white because it would make him look bad in the eyes of black people. Obama, man of all the people!!!!
