U.S. Will Invest Funds Allocated By $700 Billion Bailout Package In Big Banks

All you have to do is watch the morning show with one conservative on a panel of 4 and the other three Barbara Walters, whoopee goldberg and third, shouting down the 4th to understand how the media works. Of course, liberals who claim they can think, love the show. They make Obama look "presidential" instead of "present". - Reply to this comment
The only "thinkers" McSame has are those who "think" that the Bush agenda is good for the country.

So shallow you are......if what you say is true, then why did a democratic congress fund the war, and now vote to fund the bail out.- Reply to this comment

I do not agree. Obama''s words ring forth with vision and plans that inspire HOPE and CHANGE but he lacks the experience and good judgement to impliment them. Anyone can (and he repeatedly does) tell you that they agree with you on every issue and has a plan to solve the issue. He knows he can not simply pull the troops out of Iraq, or extract us from Afghanistan, or simply send missles into Packistan and Kill Osama bin laden.
When asked in the first debate how the financial crisis would impact on all his plans he waffed and repeated all his rehearsed plans, never establishing a priority. He is an empty suit. Worship him, vote for him if you wish, but do not believe him. - Reply to this comment

Fortunately they are only a small proportion of all thinkers.
As for censoring, here is an excerpt from the CBS rules for posting,
" People who want to post comments on CBSNews.com are going to have to follow our rules. We know that not all forums are like that, but this one is.
There%u2019s legal language nearby. Here''s the plain English: no libel, slander, no lying, no fabricating, no swearing at all..."
It is most likely censored posts contained one or more of the above. - Reply to this comment
- Warning to all retards, or republicans, if I ever meet and hear another republican say all the democrats do is raise taxes and spend, so help me if I am able to get up, I will hit you in the chops. This pres is sick. Come on January.

- Yeah, duh, so what
It''s called sarcasm
Calling Bill Ayers a "puppetmaster" of national politics is so absurd, rediculous, and paranoid that "DUH" is about the only response worth typing - Reply to this comment
- and by the way, how is the media "partial" by reporting the results of polls?
If a dozen well-respected polling companies all say basically the same thing then I guess it''s a vast communist conspiracy, right??
Get serious already, you are waaaaay out in left, er, right field Mack

- So where are all these thinkers you refer to??
YOU?
Here''s a sample of your thinking:
AYERS ARABS are Obama''s puppetmasters, duh
C''Mon: If you are going to bring up thinking, do some real analysis, or expound upon your political philosophy.
IM a thinker, Im educated and was blessed with a gifted intelligence, and IM not voting for John McCain, so dont include ME in your body of "thinkers" - Reply to this comment

Mc Cain has won in the minds of thinkers across this nation. His problem is that there is a huge politically partial news media that rigs the polls, an ever larger group of mindless voters that believe everthing they see on TV News and a Hollywood group lead by Whoopee Goldberg that the latter worship. The issues are clear to the thinkers......but the rest just may be enough to court disaster. The market is not going up because smart money fears the disaster that awaits if Obama is elected. - Reply to this comment
- Debbie Mack,
OK, take everything you say...
AND,,,,,
so what??
I dont understand the logic..
His reduced experience does not ipso facto make him a bad candidate,
JUST AS a LOT of experience (as we all know) does NOT automatically make someone a GOOD candidate..
Ideas, vision, intelligence, energy are very important factors..
And when you guys say John McCain is an "outsider" it''s a good thing, but for Barack its inexperience???
Im not voting for Obabma because of any American Idol mentality, I hate that show and everything it represents..
Im voting for Barack Obama because under the circumstances,
HE IS THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB. - Reply to this comment
- hello CBS .......censoring again along political prejudice lines.......again?

- McCain has to win this next debate hands down otherwise Obama is going continue to gain momentum and you''''ll likely see some red states turn blue.
It''''ll look pretty silly if a Senator of 20+ years doesn''''t seem to have a higher command of the issues over someone he dismisses as inexperienced.

I honestly think the fact that Obama inspires his fellow Americans is the truth to this campaign success. McCain fully understands the issues, but is not INSPIRING the voters. This same thing happened in 1976 with Jimmy Carter. Let us hope the same CHANGE does not come to America. - Reply to this comment
- After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days? Now he will solve the economic crisis
We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that''s all it is - a start.
AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public seems to feel comfortable with this and are campaigning for him.
We wouldn''t accept this in our own line of work, yet some are OK with this for the President of the United States of America ?
Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol. - Reply to this comment

The Federal Reserve will "soon finalize work" on a new program to serve as a buyer of last resort for commercial paper.
If the companies have a permanent safety net like this, what motivation do they have to make good decisions?? If they CANT hit bottom, then they might be more reckless than ever!!
DEBBIE MACK: you really think some two-bit Chicago professor from chicago is a "puppetmaster" of national politics?? AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You are one of those paranoid militia types huh ?
And ARABS???????????
What with the well-established business ties between BUSH et al with the Saudi Royal Family, including the bin Laden family, (sans Osama hopefully), how can you sit there and say Obama is an Arab puppet because of his NAME sounding African??
How racist and stupid can you get??

You really need a new mojo, the majority of the spouting done on these issues has been disproved for quite some time.
Why not use your energy trying to get McCain and Palin to come up with some type of real message that actually might appeal to voters VS the far right, based on thinly veiled racisim, in fact why not tell him the best thing he could do for his campaign would be to dump the main trouble spot. Palin. - Reply to this comment
