Industrial Sized Grow Sites Are Destroying The Environment In America's Parks And Forests
- Does anyone remember alcohol prohibition? The fact is, where there is demand there is supply. Our government should decriminalize marijuana in order to regulate production, tax the sales, and track its use.

It is common practice to spray tobacco with pesticides. The invisible residue is cured along with the tobacco.

Perhaps you missed the point of my post... They make a BIG deal out of these pesticides but do nothing to the tobacco companies...- Reply to this comment
- We need our armed forces not only in the mountains but on the steets wiping out all of the mexican and other gangs that are ruining our country. Lets take back our country & eliminate the scum that have invaded us, if we eliminate them they won''t be able to come back again & again. Just think how great it would be to get rid of the drugs & scum bags that make them. Why are we allowing this to happen here, these people do not have rights, human or otherwise, they are the scum of the earth, harming us and our lands. Our government is to blame for not being aggressive in stopping crime, they have the means now use it.

- I''ve just seen a documentary on the damage being done by all the big growers. It was heart breaking.

- "I''ve seen the pesticide residue on the plants," Foy said. "You ain''t just smoking pot, bud. You''re smoking some heavy-duty pesticides from Mexico."
Hmmm, just like cigarettes???? - Reply to this comment

- Studies have shown that the sensations the brain experiences when exposed to drugs like marijuana, are the same as individuals who indulge in religious rituals/exercises -- the same areas in the brain are activated and responsive.

I bet the same sensations are experienced during radical political activism and in high political offices...it does not surprise me in the least, that certain people have the urges to dominate these areas in society. Most likely for exactly these feeling of ultimate power and control. - Reply to this comment
- Then you should go to Duke. (my alma matter)

LOL,,Who in the hell could afford to go to Duke?
BTW, They have been sued just as much as UNC has for mal-practice.
Neither could cure a hang nail.

- Any organization that hires dopers would have a giant marajuana emblem on the outside of their building. This would be so you could choose which hospital you preferred. I have a funny feeling that dopers would feel uneasy to use their own hospital.

Can''t or couldn''t be any worse than what we have today.
Esp the UNC hospital. - Reply to this comment
- Holland has literally "gone to pot".
It used to be a beautiful place, now it is dump. Coincidence?
Some argue that corelation proves nothing. I argue that corelation is the core of common sense.

So when were you in Holland I was just there like 1 year ago and it is still beautiful.
This is a classic example of right wing radio talk show spewing into America. Hey most middle of the road swing voters have had enough. - Reply to this comment

I think you are right. The product would quickly become cheap, and it would be one less way to keep some of our remaining wealth from being spent out of our country. - Reply to this comment
- So in reality, dopers are attempting to self medicate in order to deal with neurological short-comings.
Posted by cbsfan731
I think you are putting the cart before the horse. Very few dopers are attempting to self-medicate existing problems. They change their brains after using recreational drugs in most cases.
Almost any young person goes through a bad time at some point growing up. Those who are taught to respect the law and live honorably usually find ways to start enjoying life without drugs. - Reply to this comment
- One more reason to legalize or at lest decriminalize marijuana.

- Then legalize it and end the BS. One year of alcohol related car crasehes account for more deaths than all the Mexican drug cartels combined.

- The Answer is to Legalize Marijuana. Then the government can MAKE money off of it (TAXES)instead of SPENDING money to fight it. Farmers can make money from it and it can be regulated just as all other farming is so that damage is not done to our environment. This would also take away ground for the illegal gangs - we should have learned this lesson from when alcohol was prohibited in this country.

- Go visit Sequoia NP and look at the Hispanic names carved into the trees. It will send shivers down your spine to see a treasure so disrespected.

That is horrible. I haven''t been there in thirty years, but I can''t imagine anyone desecrating those amazing trees. I guess the Mexican illegals are trying to make the place look like home. They all say Mexico is lawless and poor, so that is why they come here. They are too lazy to work at improving their own country, so they come here and ruin ours. - Reply to this comment
- How do you settle the "financial crisis" ? We could throw 100s of BILLIONS at Banks and the Rich and hope the big companies pull through with $400,000 massages at resorts.
Or we could give every adult American a million dollars, require they pay off their home loan first, buy a new American made car, pay off one credit card, and eat out at least one night a week for a month. That would take about ONLY 200MILLION bucks, solve the housing problems of every one but those who need to live in a house that cost over a million. Save GM, Ford, and Chrysler from failure. Put college kids to work as waiters. And leave a few bucks left over to put in the bank for middle class people.
Problems solved, every one happy, except Washington politicians and super rich, stuff shirts, whose passed down family fortunes will lose some value. Dang that was easy. - Reply to this comment
- Yes, and until America deals with the psychological issues that make people crave dope, drugs are here to stay also.
Posted by cbsfan731
Get rid of the illegals, and wages go up. Crime goes down. People feel more secure without criminal gangs invading our country. Half the "psychological problems" are gone. - Reply to this comment
- That''''s what you get for a President who said "I didn''''t inhale."

Apparently if he had, we wouldn''t have this problem.
He would have legalised it,,,, if he inhaled. - Reply to this comment
