It is impossible for America to drill its way to independence from foreign oil! That is a fact!

The stone age did not end because of a lack of stones. In like manner, our dependence on oil should not end because of a lack of oil. Leadership is needed in government. Obama stands alone as the candidate advocating a $15 billion per year investment over 10 years in alternative energy (Wind, Solar, Bio-diesel, Geo-thermal, Fuel Cell technologies). Compare Exxon''s world-wide giving to that of Murphy Oil (google the Eldorado Promise) to see an oil company that understands "philanthropy". Under Bush/Cheney, Exxon''s profits doubled from 1999 to 2000, the moment Bush took office, and, have only sky rocketed since.
