curse-well, so much for the open minded liberal. It is really sick to dislike someone you don''t know simpley because they hold a different poltical view. NOt only sick, but childish.
Forget it. There is no hope of having a decent dialogue with you.

curse-A bit more civil. As for my screen name, nope. I will remain a recovering liberal who once was a card carrying member of the United World Federalist Party. So, that being said.
Would you be able to point to one socialists government that has worked for any length of time??
I take it you don''t approve of capitalism? That is your right, so far.
As for me, yes I do approve of the free market.
Have you ever read any of Ayn Rand? If not, I suggest you do. Start with Anthmn and We The Living.
I do feel you can get YOUR view across with a lot less demeaning words and name calling. Try it, you might just win someone to your side. Not me though, too old.

curse914-Well, guess we won''t get to any real discussion based on your last rant. You are such a child that obviously has a hard time controlling him or herself.
I bet you''re a blast at a party.
Forget it, child, don''t bother responding.
One thing, where did you ever get 70 years????
No response to my post about Wall Street and who they contribute to.
Comrade, you are one sick commie.

curse914-Guess you''ll love being called comrade.
Can we cut through the BS and may I just ask if you really don''t find any dems at fault for this? That is an honest question and if you plan on responding with some typical lib name calling or smartA answer, forget it.
LEt''s try and be civil, shall we.
Oh yea, gwjackie-if it''s any of your business, I guess you can call me a typical old white woman. Your messiah seems to like that phrase.

curse914-you do not dispute what I posted. AS for deregulation, you know what the community reinvestment act did??? It was enacted in 1977, juiced up by clinton in 2004 (before the GOP took the majority). He made it affirmative action on steriods.
Fannie and freddie were managed by the dems, do you dispute that?? Do you dispute what raines did? Do you dispute what went down in the 2004 congressional hearings??? Do you?
Do you dispute that YOUR party has held the majority for the last 2 years???

grabandgo-you need to go back to 1977 if you want to start the clock on this mess.
Who ran fannie & freddie?? What was frank doing??? Why did frank go on Bloomberg in July of this year and say all was well?? When Congressional hearings were held in 2oo4 those Republicans who questioned the bad practices were called racists. Go to youtube and put in Congressional hearings on fannie & freddie 2004. Listen to maxine waters glorify raines.
Do some research.

gwjackie-wrong there, sweetie. Those who ran fannie and freddie are and were democrats. AS for Wall Street, do a search using dogpile.com and just put in "Wall Street contributions to political parties" and you will find a great breakdown by SLATE. SLATE is hardly a right wing friendly site so take comfort in that.
Goldman Sachs gave over 20 million to the democratic party exclusively in the past 10 years alone. No money was donated to the GOP.
THis mess rests in the laps of the dems. Haven''t you wondered why no investigations have been called for??? The previous head of fannie, raines, cooked the books, raped fannie (no pun intended) and walked off with 90 million. He now in in the messiah''s campaign.
Do some digging and find the real root cause of this. Your msm sure isn''t presenting it.

Does anyone know if the lending practices started in 1977 and juiced up in 1994 (community reinvestment act)are still in place??
I keep hearing ads for low interest, no money down mortgages on TV and radio. THis practice is what got us here in the first place.
Are we sure the millions promised to the messiah''s pet project, acorn, were taken out of this bill??

We have seen the biggest ripoff the world has ever seen. The money will never get any place but the top few Republicans in the USA. We will have a civil war within six to eight months.

Check out the BBC and other foreign sources to get their take on this scam. They have predicted that this short term solution will result in devaluation of the dollar and inflation that will drive prices up while we struggle to bring our earnings up to match. This inflation will ultimately be bad for the mortgage industry as people pay long term debt with devalued dollars.

I will be voting against every person who has voted for this beast. That includes both presidential candidates. I don''t think it''ll affect the outcome of the election because I''d guess that about as many republicans as democrats will do the same. Watch out, members of Congress, I''ll be checking up on how you voted!

Many bloggers were wondering why Barack Obama was not prosecuted by the State of Illinois for not telling the truth on his legal paperwork. In 1991 Mr. Obama signed an application to IBAB and denied that he owed outstanding parking tickets, he falsified his application and gained admission to the bar by fraud. It is because he resigned as a lawyer sometime in March 2007, and he could not be prosecuted because he no longer had his law license. Therefore if he loses the Presidential run he will not be returning to the law. By the way, he was blatantly flagrant as he had 17 outstanding parking tickets. Of course this does not clear up the part that he also lied about ever having used another name which there seems proof that he went by Barry Soetoro; Barry Obama; Barack Dunham; Barry Dunham.
