Senate Passage Appears Assured; Opposition From House Republicans Said To Weaken
- Could Ron Paul win if everybody wrote his name in?
Watching the hearings he is the only one who made any sense.
Both sides hated his opinion, because it was the truth! - Reply to this comment

Actually, it was women and mothers who stood in front of the tanks.
Roman government had their Army always out to war, until Ceasar finally realized the corruption of Roman. He took his army and invaded Rome. - Reply to this comment

- If there was another tea party.
It would be ugly at first, but I believe there would be a turning point, when local and National defenses would turn.

- The Bailout Tick you off too?
Do something about it before it''s too late! Email your Senator and Congressman and DEMAND they vote NO to Bush''s $700 Billion Bailout to Wall Street Firms! We taxpayers already paid Billions in bailouts for AIG, Bear Stearns and others firms and the market is still whole. Now Politicians come on TV saying the same rehearsed talking points to SELL this fraud to Mainstreet but if it''s so DIRE than WHY are leaders adding Billions in wasteful Pork to the Bill?! - Reply to this comment
- Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd repeatedly thwarted reforms. Yet today they stand front-and-center as Democrats try to "fix" a problem they created.
As such, any investigation into Fannie and Freddie must include Congress, both current and past.
There''s lots of evidence that the two mortgage giants had become little more than taxpayer-guaranteed front companies for Democrats, who used them to reward supporters with cheap loans and to provide jobs for out-of-work politicians. - Reply to this comment

- Don''''t allow them to pass this ridiculous farce. Rise up against this.
Just another scam on the American people. Amazing how they are so willing to screw over the cash farm (middle class), that has kept them rich for so many years.
I truly hate our government and the corporations that run it.

Put a fork in out booties, we''re done.
America and our Constitution is dead!
The blood from all of our Wars was invane.
We no longer have leaders.
I curse the Politicians! - Reply to this comment
- When the gov''t says $700 billion, you can be assured that the true number will be much, much higher. They ALWAYS either underestimate the true cost, or know the true cost but don''t tell the America people, fearing a backlash. The irony is that we don''t even have the $700 billion to begin with.
