I wonder....
....how many people will be protesting tomorrow morning, after this weekends final bill draft?
....if people will take a day off their job to make a profound statement and save what little we do have left?
....if protesting can make any difference?
....if the powers that be have considered that they will be getting voted (booted) out on election day?
....what the world will be like this time next year?

Our government has forgotten about the people.
If the people are rich materially and spiritually, there is
not much to fear. I trust in our collective intelligence.
Helping those who are driven by anti-depressant and have already demonstrated imprudence and greed would not help the country as a whole. Chrysler Corporation, for example. Decades after the Carter''s bailout, the company has done not much to improve our society and is still producing
gas-guzzling cars. It is time for the both candidates to start talking "for the people."

This bailout does not include any regulations being put back in place to keep the same thing from happening again. Regulations were in place until 1st Nixon, 2nd Reagan, 3rd Daddy Bush & then Jr finally completely deregulated wall street & see what happened? Then they managed to get "free trade" established!!!! Terrible, but looks like we have to legislate morality because man has none!

Ok, Bush told us: Iraq is going to kill us all... Lets put all this billions to attack them , otherwise we''ll have a horrible death...
Now he is saying: We''ll all go to hell if we do not give all these billions to the bankers... we all will crash down and be in terrible dispair... we''ll be back to the stone age if we do not do this!

You know what... One time shame on you, second shame on me.
I heard this once before. I will not fall for the same twice. If the congress falls again for it, shame on them.
I have no political training, nor I have congressional experience. I just can recognize a car sales man when I hear their pitch.
If congress gives bankers the money, well, we can do nothing, but then we all will know who to vote for...

This is not a presidential debate story. Let us all stay focused. I can say that the unbelievable amount of times that I have heard Washington use the word BILLION in the last 8 years, it is no wonder that we are where we are! TAXPAYERS SHOULD NOT PAY! I do agree with the Jail them not Bail them, why has Washington not thought of this? If it were you or I that brought the economy crashing, we would be gone for life. Where is our freedom, our Justice? What has this country come to? VERY SCARY!

I disagree with that statement buddy. The republicans had been in control for SIX YEARS and it was already heading down the drain! This crisis can be traced back to the 80s and dear President Reagan. His Voodoo Economics (quoting Daddy Bush here) is what started this whole mess! Republicans don''t have enough brains to balance a checkbook let alone a budget! So if you want to put the blame where it TRUELY lies, blame your dear, sweet GOP party! By the way, looks like Jr. Bush''s tax incentive checks didn''t do a heck of a lot of good did it? Sure did stimulate the economy . . . not!

"What a mess that the Democrats are going to inherit.
Was it planned?"

It was supposed to collapse after the election. That way, McCain could use it as justification for some additional looting for the rich.

Since the house of cards folded early, the Republicans will pay a heavy political price for their irresponsibility.
