How can you "hate" a cat? You need psychiatric treatment.
And as for earlier comments about this being "only" a cat and not as important as a human: well, that''s just one opinion. The law, BTW, already makes the distinction. That''s why this piece of human garbage faces a MAXIMUM of two years in jail. If this were a defenseless baby he''d murdered and not "just" a cat, he''d be facing execution in any state that has capital punishment. Elsewhere, he''d be facing life in prison. People go to jail for a couple of years for mere possession of a little quantity of drugs - so two years for killing this cat is not out of line, and he''ll probably be out in a year, if he''s convicted at all.
