McCain-Palin campaign officials apparently feel the American people should trust her with the button and the world''''s financial markets without ever taking questions from reporters.

Taking questions from the media is not required. In a few weeks vote for who ever you want. I like my ne saying "None of the above 08"

Simply put -

After being forced to pay for an expensive & unnecessary war in Iraq, the overwhelming majority of Americans do not want the cost of this type of Corporate Welfare foisted upon themselves & their children.

With the bailouts of Freddie/Fanny, Bear Sterns, & AIG, costing over 300 Billion already, with this additional Corporate Welfare to the international banking industry costing 700 Billion, the true cost for this type of Corporate Welfare will cost about an even Trillion.

Again, Americans simply do not want this type of abuse & corruption by the government directed at them. Democrats would do well to heed the outcry form the public before they decide to side with those utterly corrupt scoundrels in the White House.

Anything Bush is in a hurry to push through you know is for his own and his buddies interests not ours. With basically weeks to go he could just sit in Crawford and watch it on TV. Oil is not going anywhere neither is cattle. Lets assume for a minute this bailout goes through. Now all those financial companies have good bottom lines who is to say they are going to take a chance loaning anything to anybody for a long time. They can lay off people and just sit there.

When I listened to Paulson in the media, he was very vague about what he was going to do. We can''''t allow that type of vagueness while someone is asking for that type of money. We should demand that he testify immediately in a public hearing before Congress so his plans are properly vetted before the American people.

Including his plans for WHAT TO DO WITH THE INCOME that these morgages will generate.

It should NOT just go to INCREASED SPENDING. It should go to PAY OFF THE FEDERAL DEBT, including the loans for this bailout.

At the very least, we should be demanding that Paulson explain in great detail the specific plans he has for the purchase of bad debt and what the companies he plans to negotiate with for the next few months. That way, some initial action could be taken on a very detailed plan that would stabilize the markets while giving some real time to ponder this plan.
