Bush can order him to turn over the records. If Bush doesn''t order Cheney to turn over the records, I think Bush and Cheney should be prosecuted. Since when can people ignore the law like this administration has done for the last 7 1/2 years? Why don''t we hold them accountable?

It really doesn''t matter what we say or do - Bush/Cheney''s mission is accomplished. They have enriched the rich and powerful and impoverished the rest of us. They don''t care about black/white, abortion/right to life, gun control/no control; those are just issues to divide and conquer us so they can create a "new royalty" with the power to control. While we moan, groan, and whine they have accomplished this. They don''t care about popularity they care about power. They know they can divide us enough so that popularity does not matter. These are the smartest, most ruthless people in the world and we will continue under their control because they invented the game and they play to win.

What a surprise. The Bush administration wants to withold information on what they have been doing from Americans? Why there are Americans still willing to defend the GOP while the GOP flips them the bird is beyond my comprehension.

McCain sold his soul to get Bush''s support. If he is elected this country wll never get a chance to see the full extent of their crimes and the way our constitution has been shredded.

Talk radio is paid off to promote the neocon agenda and that the crux of the problem. They don''''t need taken off the public airwaves but their shows need balanced with opinions from all sides. No more unlimited monologue diatribes from Rush without having another host that presents the other side.

Our airwaves are owned by all Americans (Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Green, etc) and not only by Republicans.

Talk radio is really hate commercialized 24 hours a day. It is 24 hours of "free" political advertising, and I don''t think the public airwaves should be abused in this way. When a fat man with a cigar eternally in his mouth can get away with lie after lie, promoting violence and hatred, and have to answer to no one, then something is wrong.

To tapsetter & cbs blogger: So you are crying that Saddam Hussien is no more. You can still move to North Korea, Burma, Zimbabwe, and a few other ''''ideal'''' liberal countries.

You are not the only one, but knowing Cheney''s disrespect for the constitution, the law, and America, they were probably all gone before this ruling or have been moved to Dubai. The ruling is useless as far as Cheney is concerned.

"The lawsuit stems from Cheney''s position that his office is not part of the executive branch of government.
This summer, Cheney chief of staff David Addington told Congress the vice president belongs to neither the executive nor legislative branch of government, but rather is attached by the Constitution to Congress."

So all along, children, you thought there were three branches of the American government: executive, legislative, and judicial.

Bzzt! Wrong! There are four: you forgot to count the *** branch of government. See picture at top of page.

And the Repugs dare to prattle about the U.S. Constitution!

Quick, somebody ask McClone and Bush Baby about this!

Then throw the bums out!

If the VP is not part of the executive branch, then why did Cheney have to go to those "secured locations"?

Is it not obvious that this group of thugs (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc) is trying to destroy potential evidence that could be used to prosecute them in later investigations for their crimes (lying us into a war, spying on Americans, torturing Americans and foreigners, outing a CIA agent, giving out no-bid war-contracts to cronies, illegally firing attorneys, etc) against the American public? What do they take us for?
