Uh...unless you are prepared to discuss the balance of animal cruelty and the death penalty, I suggest you take your little post (repeatedly copied and pasted over the last few days across these boards) to another area.

Looks like most everyone agrees the man who beat Norman to death is a sicko. I''m an animal lover, so I''m right there with you. I don''t like to think about the pain that the cat must have experienced, considering the laundry list of injuries.

However, I can''t argue for the death penalty or life in prison or torture. Just seems too extreme, and I wouldn''t support torture of any living thing. I would like to see him get prison time (yes, I''ll pay my share as a taxpayer, especially if he can take the place of a non-violent offender who ought to be in drug rehab instead) and lots and lots of community service hours. The 500 hours suggestion tossed around earlier sounds good.

On a side note, after reading the posts on several threads (including the pig torture thread) over several days, I am going to assume TheVicar1 is just (as someone already suggested) yanking people''s chains. Please don''t correct me if I''m wrong. I need to be able to sleep at night.

I don''''t blame him for killing the cat. Cats are evil animals and I would never have a cat with small children in the house.

A dead cat is the only good cat.

I personally suspect that he was a drunken idiot with not much, if any, experience at killing. And he botched the job. ------------------------------------------------------ Posted by ibsteve2u

Speaking on behalf of drunken idiots everywhere, I can assure you that the MAJORITY of us forego the killing experience in favor of more romantic pursuits.

I''m sorry about the cat, but she should be glad it wasn''t her!

I think these two ought to keep away from one another, I don''t think they have much of a future together! It looks like they bring out the worst in one another!
