Interesting that the jury could not come not reach a consensus on the punishment. What more do people want to put someone to death. This animal killed an innocent baby by cooking it to death in the microwave. She should be hacked into little pieces and spread through the forest for the animals.

I know there are a lot of good mothers in prison for other reasons and I''m hoping that a hundred times a day and every single day for the rest of her life, they use her to put out all their cigarettes and any other punishment that suits the crime!

But most of these girls that are having these babies arent even attempting to use any form of birth control. They just take their chances and then blame the baby when they get pregnant.

Unfortunately, birth control doesn''t always work. I have four grandchildren to prove it. My daughter was on four differnt types of BC with each. Finally she had a tubal ligation... Guess what... YUP! Even had another pregnancy after that, though Angela was stillborn.

I''''ve been following this case since it was first reported. IF the jury is right, this woman should not be supported by public taxpayer dollars. Make her earn her own keep; work her 16 hours a day, six days a week. No TV, no books, no newspapers, no frills, just basic food, water and medical treatment. May she live a long, long time and remember why she''''s there every day of her pitiful life.

Evidently the jury did not believe the 8 year old witness. The witness in jail changed her tune. Good witnesses eh? My prayers are with the child. As for the mother I would personally pay the electric bill to have her fried.

Check it out people, This woman is seriously mentally ill, If she had access to AFFORDABLE help, this probably wouldn''t have happened. But no one wants to talk about THAT DO THEY? Just think how much money our government spends on bulls*h*i*t. She sure as heck does not belong in prison, she belongs in an institution for the rest of her life. It is hard to not feel pity for this poor girl when you look at her photo. She appears terribly sorrowful, and is likely full of remorse and confusion. Perhaps it would be more helpful if everyone sent prayers her way, and for the baby as well. It can''''t hurt. Just look at the lost look in her eyes. She needs to be consoled!

I''m afraid I''m not as charitable as you, although I applaud you for being able to be as forgiving as you are. I honestly do. However, for me at least, what this woman did is beyond the pale; even the title of this article angers me. Calling her a ''mom'' is abominable. She was an incubator, nothing more. I have no sympathy for her, only for the child she murdered. She got off light in her sentencing.
