The republicans always cry out about taxes. The republican administration over the last 8 years has just fought an $800 billion dollar war looking for weapons of mass destruction ( weapons found...none). The republicans have bailed out bear stearns, a huge investment bank. And now the republicans are going to bail out fanny mae and freddie mac, the two big mortgage insurers. guess who pays for it? The taxpayer! Don''t be stupid people! Vote for change! Vote Democrat! Vote for Obama and Biden! The taxes you saved annually...about $50, the money you spent on increased energy costs annually...about $4000. Don''t support republican big oil interests.

Also, those of you who are saying one party caused oil prices to go up and one party caused them to go down are idiots. You say that Bush said that we need to open up offshore drilling and the oil prices went down. First, just because he said that doesn''t mean it starts producing crude right away. If fact, the laws need to changed to approve drilling AND oil companies actually have start drilling. If you pay attention to the news (but not the politicians) it will be YEARS before we actually see any additional off-shore oil added to the supply.

"Most of the people on Unemployment are on it becase they di dnot want to work in the first place. "

You people who keep saying this need to repeat kindergarten. You are a JOKE! Let me get this straight, you are saying the people receiving unemployment benefits decided over the course of a few months to stop working because they were just tired of working. They just quit their jobs? Go sit in the corner and think about what you just said.

Just produce the facts.

Its very simple really. They only report people that presently getting unemployment, and not the others that have had their benefits run out and are unable to find work. Or the other people that has to take a lesser job just to have money coming in.

See?

I know plenty of people that fit either of the aforementioned, don''t you?

Welcome to Bush%u2019s (and McCain%u2019s) America. Disregarding all the damage these criminals have done to our reputation around the world, they have managed to mangle our economy to the point where many middle-class Americans are just surviving by skin of their teeth. Think seriously about November 4th.

You deserve what you get and it ain''''t going to be pretty but, by the time you wake up it''''ll be too late and there will be NOTHING you can do about it.

Sounds like a lot of guesswork and speculation on your part. I was prepared to vote for McCain in 2000 until the Bush campaign railroaded him. He''s not the same McCain he was eight years ago. And after a lifetime of seeing what the Republican party is really all about (I research both sides and read everything from Molly Ivins to John Podhoret), you''re damned right I''m voting party.

Sage advice for anyone who wants ANOTHER disastrous Republican administration. kazoodan at 10:14 AM

Or another disastrous Democrat one. One would be smart to vote for the individual rather than the party. Seems that is how you got yourself into this situation isn''t it? You voted then, like you''re doing now, voting for what you''re told by a "snake oil" salesman not looking at the dudes voting record. You deserve what you get and it ain''t going to be pretty but, by the time you wake up it''ll be too late and there will be NOTHING you can do about it.

I have an AOS degree in Office Admninistration, a BBA in Accounting, and several years of experience in my majors and so much more. I relocated from Fl to GA in May ''06'' I sent my resume out, call agencies I''ve worked for and nothing until Oct. I worked for 3 different agency between Oct. ''06'' and Feb. ''07''. Since Feb ''07'' to this day I''ve been looking for work, sending my resume and calling agencies. In almost 2 years I''ve had about 4 interviews and no call back. When I call the agencies they have nothing. I had to recently go back to school to take a 8 weeks course in the Health field, because that''s 1 of the 2 fields that are still hiring I heard. I finished 4 weeks ago, nothing yet. I almost lose my house because of Country Wides''s negligence. I''m sign up with yahoo, monster, Dept. of Labor, CB, and more. Still no job. The worst I heard employers say is "I''m over qualified and I''ll be bored". That''s not their choose to make. Forget asking for assistance from the government, You have to have nothing to qualify. Applied for food stamps and was turned down becase my expensies or less than my what my bills add up to. Then why do they think I''m applying for help. I''m just glad my kids have medical coverage. What else am I to do? What is the world coming to.

We already have unemployment of 15 or 16%
Posted by slim1h2o

And where, pray tell do you get these numbers? Or do you just pick a random number out of the air? The article said 6.1% and that''s what I''m relating to. Also tell me why 5.5% under Clinton was "Fully Employed" his words not mine, but, under Bush 6.1% is a national disaster? Don''t BS me with "BDS" because I don''t care for the guy either. Just produce the facts.

THE ONLY REAL REASON I LIKE OBAMA IS BECAOSE HE''''S ''''SMART'''' AND CAN THINK
Posted by CAMEO35 at 08:57 AM : Sep 06, 2008

Yup, Just like Jimmy Carter. Inflation of 20% and unemployment of 18% midway into his term. Add Obama''s negotiateing with terrorists, new taxes on business, windfall profits on oil companies, $1 a gallon tax on gasoline, new taxes on the "Rich", all the while pandering to the "Don''t want to work" crowd.
Yes he''s truely "smart"!
He should have the country on the ropes in about 6 months and an insurection in the "fly over" states in about 10.
Those who forget their history
are doomed to repeat it.
