Mayor Requests Review Of Program Providing Identification To All Regardless Of Legal Status
- This is simple. There should be no sanctuary in the USA for these criminals. Maybe we should just take all of the criminals out of the jails and give them a city somewhere to live in. Wake up folks, and tell your government to send them back across the border.

Well at least your calling me something other (and more accurate) than a nasty name, and thats a start. And you know my solution, go back home and enter the legal way. Pretty simple?
Well I would think so. - Reply to this comment

Please keep SF as a SANCTUARY CITY.
There are now several groups in Tucson that provide FREE transportation to illegals via a one-way ticket to SF. We believe this is a win-win-win situation: we get rid of the tax-dollar-sucking parasites and criminals in our community and SF gets to support these illegals and enjoy the crime and other good things they bring. So far, after over 300 "deportations" to SF, we continue to find that the illegals are eager to take our free transportation offer and enjoy the riches of a tax-payer-supported life in SF. For each deportation, Tucson tax payers save about $32,000 annually in costs of supporting illegals. So please, please, keep SF as a sanctuary city. You can afford it!

- This smacks of New York''s great idea to give illegals a drivers license.
The good people of NY smacked that down as San Fran should.
When are our leaders going to come to grips with the idea that we don''t want illegals here? When are they going to start acting in OUR best interests? Or better yet, in the countries best interests? Either way.
Last week would have been a good time to start. - Reply to this comment
- "provide identification cards to all residents regardless of legal status."
I don''t understand why illegal immigrants should even be considered for ID cards. Do they have US birth certificates? I doubt it. I had to have my daughter''s birth certificate plus her school ID to get her an ID card and she is a US citizen! - Reply to this comment
- "Newsom reversed the juvenile offender policy in May, but said he stood by the city''s vow to shelter illegal immigrants who otherwise follow the law from deportation."

having an ID does not infringe an illegal''s HUMAN RIGHTS but more on an issue of legality..YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEGAL AND ILLEGAL..HONEST PERSON AND DISHONEST PERSON..SOMETHING THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY DO NOT HAVE ANY GRASP. - Reply to this comment
