I don''''t know the man who''''ll kill me.
I don''''t know these men I kill.
We both wind up on the same side.
Ain''''t none of us doing God''''s will.

Not a lyricist here, but historical correctness might change that last line to "And both of us.." which is a much more deadly clandestine perversion.

Why is this a big deal? Its not like the 55% of $500K or better wealthy at the RNC have any kids in the military.

So combat deaths are down but suicide is up. That math does not add up since they should move up and down together. (Troops involved in a lot of combat naturally kill themselves more often.)

That tells me that the numbers are being manipulated.

I decided to close my business today after 15 years. The economy is horrible. People are joining because they see their family members struggling to make a living. We supposedly have an all volunteer military, but how voluntary is it to go fight just because you can''t find a decent job.

Call Microsoft and ask the Indian operator who answers the phone if he or she is depressed or has worries about the future. Now ask a soldier returning from Iraq.

When a bill was presented that would have provided additional funding for counseling for returning soldiers guess who voted against it. JOHN MCCAIN. Actually he has voted against every bill that has been introduced to help veterans. And his little buddy from Alaska will do exactly the same if she becomes president...which she very well could. So go on and vote for this ***** and then when the country slides deeper and deeper into dispair you can whine about McCain like you whine about Bush. Now I understand why Johnny can''t read.

Should of listened to Dr PAUL. Instead you listned to these below

somewhere in a troubled land.
They came with no greeting;
left without a shaken hand.

Nearby the town sleeping
was unaware of what was done.
No need for watchkeeping,
they''''ll be gone before the sun.

You may not see just where the sense is
in the actions of the State.
You may not know the consequencses
of their actions till too late.
The rival factions still debate
as shadows gather at your gate.

It was a night meeting:
independent, prearranged,
to get a signed treaty,
force the government to change.

Secret diplomacy without the means to make their policy prevail.
Meanwhile the powers that be behind the scenes have guaranteed to see
them fail.

You seem beyond the jurisdiction
of the democratic powers.
You do not see the contradiction
of the watchmen in the towers,
you turn your back as night devours
the final chance, the final hours.

It was a night meeting:
these are men who won''''t be missed.
Their lives were just fleeting:
they don''''t offically exist.

"The Republicans are pro life yet they put 180,000 of our children in harm''''''''s way, and allowed 4,150 of them to be slaughtered."

And then they voted to reduce the soldier''''s paychecks and benefits while they increased thier own.

Yup. That about sums up the Republicans. Trouble is, most people don''t "get it" and there''s a good chance Miss Alaska 1984 will get to be the next VP.

a war for no reason, suicides, nobody is held accountable, and this country of imbeciles is still considering voting for the scums that sent them there again. How many times does it take to be fooled?

The majority of Americans want our kids brought back from Iraq. Half our fighters are guard/reserves. The Republicans WILL NOT bring them home, because it would add 100,000 unemployed people to the "domestic bodycount" and make their party look worse!
Doesn''t being forced to REdeploy make you a ''prisoner of war''?
Just some thoughts of an oldwhiteguy

Lets see if I got this right.
The Republicans are pro life yet they put 180,000 of our children in harm''s way, and allowed 4,150 of them to be slaughtered.
The candidates DEMAND their children be sheltered from the media-yet Palin threw her daughter under the school bus.
To continue their war mongering ways the Republicans will HAVE to reinstate the Draft...and butcher more American children.
WHO in their right mind could support the Republicans?

What is so sad is that the poor soldiers are under the impression that they are serving their country.

My how the wealthy know how to exploit us.

===============================

Amen, there haven''t been any Americans actually serving to defend our country for decades. They are serving the POTUS, who is serving the corporate Gods.

I''m surprised that this tragedy even gets the light of day from the masters of spin that control our country and the media, and ensure that we hear only what they deem is relevant.

Someone tell us again how the spin machine found a nobody hockey mom in the back woods of Alaska and turned her into GOP Goddess and VP material within 3 years. It took them less time for this than it took the music industry to make successes out of the Back Street Boys.

"The Army is committed to ensuring that all soldiers and their families receive the behavioral health care they need..............................

I guess that explains the 122 veterans of the Iraq and Afghan wars who have come home to comitt murder and have been jailed. Spouses, parents and friends all dead after "bubba" came home. Good Job
