- Issue at hand is that the sitting Governor of ANY State does not have ANYTHING to do with the National Guard ... it is still a FEDERAL branch of the US Government ...
So this is all much ado about nothing ..
A vieled attempt to discredit Palin .. CBS is in the tank for Obama .. we all know this ..
so blabber on children ... - Reply to this comment
- Palin''s whole Army is smaller than the San Francisco Police Department.

- Overtly hostile, trite, and divisive - just like Bush. No surprise. Bush''s speech writers produced this speech. Beyond the basic factual inconsistencies, the tone of this speech was offensive. Obama showed respect and defended Palin''s family showing class and focused on the issues. Palin focused on personal attacks and a B S "narrative". Interesting how the GOP is very picky about what parts of Palin''s "narrative" gets reported on. Palin is not a "pitbull with lipstick" as she put it - Palin is George W. Bush with lipstick: same policy views, same extreme religious bent, same divisive message, and same lack of experience and common sense.

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No
resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no
understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world
works, no balls, nothing but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real
substance.
He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of
him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African
Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply
proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya. Only a small part of him
is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is
exclusively.
What he isn''t, not a genetic drop of, is ''African-American,'' the descendant
of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn''t a
single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave
owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for
centuries until the British ended it.
Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the
descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.

It''s something Hillary doesn''t understand - how some complete neophyte came
out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond
politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject
Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the
evil of being human to the evil of being white.
Thus Obama has become the white liberals'' Christ, offering absolution from
the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or
flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind
can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human
Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him:
Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.
Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are
in no desperate need of a phony savior.
His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any
thinking American.
Pass this on to every thinking American you know! - Reply to this comment
- The LIB CBS is working very hard to try and destroy palin. This is the best they can do?
Hey CBS, take a look at the the Nobama and Bill Ayers friendship, or Nobama and Tony Rezko, or Nobama and Rev Wright, or Nobama and the other far left bomb throwers. - Reply to this comment
- HERE IS A THOUGHT. WHY DON''''T WE MAKE A CLEAN START AND ONLY ELECT A PRESIDENT FROM THE GENERAL POPULATION EVERY FOUR YEARS.
IT MAY BE THAT GOV. PALIN COULD DO A GREAT JOB. HAS ANYONE EVER LOOKED AT THE WAY THE BIG COMPANIES OPERATE. THEY HIRE A CEO FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND HE OR SHE DOES NOT HAVE ANY IDEA AS TO THAT COMPANY IS BEING RUN. BUT, THEY GET INTO IT AND START MAKING CHANGES FOR THE BETTER MOST OF THE TIME.
PEOPLE GET "TUNNEL VISION" AND CAN''''T SEE THE ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM A LOT OF TIME.
I WORKED IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR YEARS AND I SAW THAT HAPPEN MANY TIMES. - Reply to this comment

- People said the same thing about "Harry Truman" also. And he did a good of taking over after he got pushed into the job.

I knew Harry Truman, and Sarah Palin is no Harry Truman... - Reply to this comment
- Palin''''s "executive experience"? The iphone has been out just a few months shorter than Palin''''s TOTAL and ONLY experience in ONLY *state* government.
Eighteen months. That''''s it. That''''s her TOTAL and ONLY state government experience.
What''''s worse: She has NOT ONE day of federal government experience. What''''s even worse: She has ZERO foreign policy experience. She just got her passport LAST YEAR.

- Here is what a man had to say. He is from Fairbanks Alaska.
My take on Mrs. Palin?
Sarah Palin is an Alaskan TREASURE ! The only negative I see in her...is the fact that we will lose the best Governor we have had...at least in my dad''''s opinion. ( he has been here 35 years). Sarah is beloved by MOST Alaskans ...80 to 90 percent approval rating,
according to which paper you read. She would make a great leader for the whole country. She has led Alaska for 2 years now. We just adore her! Yes, we all even voted for her! It was a great surprise ...no one knew she was seriously in the running. Her hubby is a commercial fisherman, champion snowmobile racer, and is part Eskimo. She just ( a few weeks ago) pushed through a bill to return $1200.00 to each and every Alaskan from the oil fund to help defray our sky high energy prices. I usually do not discuss politics, but, have received this question from many of our friends. Oh yes, She DOES want to drill in Anwar and build a gas pipeline and attempt to cut the stranglehold the Middle east has on us. She is a real person...not a phony politician. America will be LUCKY to have her serve at a national level. Please tell your wife that we all concur! Regards, B****

- So, according to the Republicans, MCCAIN HAS NO EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE. HE''''S BEEN A CONGRESSMAN AND SENATOR HIS WHOLE POLITICAL CAREER.
He has executive experience, he served as an Office in the Military for 22 years. - Reply to this comment

- THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a -bridge to nowhere.-

So, what is so wrong with that. The only way that you know is to put it out there and let the people have their say. In this case, the people did not like it and it was changed. - Reply to this comment

- "Members of the Alaska Army and Air Guard have been sent to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa and other overseas locations before and since Palin was sworn in as governor in December 2006. They''ve handled duties ranging from training the Afghan National Army to communications support. When on these federal missions, National Guard troops are under the command of the Defense Department and not their governors.
In July 2007, Palin visited Alaska Guard members serving in Kuwait."
And this is somehow Palins fault? - Reply to this comment
