poopus123,

I think I understand exactly what you meant and why you want to drop it.

We can move on if you want, but first let me respond to yuor challenge about black-led nations:

To name a few-Bostswana,Nambia, Gabon,Rwanda, Uganda, Benin, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal,Gambia, and South Africa. All of these countries are being run more efficiently and democratically than they ever were under European colonialism.

Gotta rebuild our roads, our levies, our bridges.. gotta make bilingual road signs. Thats gonna be expensive.. and we need some high speed trains ''round here. For commuters. Megleves.. And we gotta research and develop methane gas stations and hydrogen gas stations. And even electric parking meters.. where people can charge their cars put''n in a quarter.

Global warming fiction? maybe the storm wasn''t as bad as they thought it would be,thank goodness, but if you watch the weather map there are 3 more storms coming so far. If you care to look beyond the conspirecy theory, there are major changes happening to our planet and it is no ones fault except HUMANS.

Kinda puts a dampener on our foreign policy though.. ''engineer the world to be a democracy''? More pressing domestic issues need that money and effort.

poopus123,

No, state control is your opinion. Why do you think we have a Federal Emergency Management Administration? Why do you think we have a Homeland Security Department?
You''re the one who supposedly works in the federal government, what do you think the fed''s job is if it can''t supply resources that only the federal government has in a domestic crisis?

Is the fed only supposed to send the state''s National Guard overseas and then abandon the state to nation build in the mideast? Is that your great Republican philosophy? I say it smells like rotten meat1

Gustav downgraded to a CAT 1 storm........
Perhaps we only have to hear about Gustav for the next couple of years now.
Posted by poopus123 at 03:04 PM : Sep 01, 2008

Nope, sorry. Now that Gustav has failed to fulfill the gloom and doom prediction of the global warming crowd, it will be gone from the news TOMORROW.

You''ll have to check the local weather reports to find it after today.

Plus - so far no government fault or failure has been found to blame on Bush. So this news item is HISTORY!!!!!!!!

poopus123,

Whose playing the race card when Republicans go to South Carolina and practically kiss the Confederate flag? Whose playing the race card when Republicans run ads against black candidates super-imposing their pictures with white women or showing black hands pulling a job app out of white hands?

Who was playing the race card when MCCain ran an ad cutting off an Obama sign reading CHANGE so that it read HANG?

I''ve readily admitted that Jackson & Sharpton have made careers playing the race card, so i don''t have anything to own up to.

You need to take your own advice and stop seeing the world through white-colored glasses.

I realize that but what i am getting at is there are alot more overseas than they have here. That was obvious here in Iowa during our floods. There is only so much they can do while being short handed. The National Guard were the first ones there to help us, and that is a very good thing. Thats what they signed up for and I feel they dont need to be deployed overseas, while they really need to be protecting and helping here in the states where they belong.

By GOP standards anything with a heart beat is qualified. BTW Obama is a Dem not a Gop. Why the hell would he even consider him?

poopus123,

I''m glad my statement holds no credibility with you because I''d hate to have any with an ignoramous like you!

It''s not a matter of being touchy feely to recognize that African-Americans from slavery to the Tuskeegee Airmen right up to the soldiers deployed in the middleast today have done more "building" of this country than a piece of *** like you!

Where would white people be today if they had to pick their own cotton, nanny their own children, and do all the ther idrty work that African-Americans performed for them for Centuries?

If whites inherently know better than others how to conduct operations how''s come the white party has screwed everything up? How''s come corporations managed by black CEOs like Time-Warner, Semantic and others are performing more prfitably than when they had "inherently" superior white managers?

I''m not mislead by any news. I read it all. I watch Fox as well as CBS. I read BusinessWeek as well as Huffington Post. How often do you listen to anything other than Rush?

States & Cities don''''t have the resources to fully respond to a crisis of that level.
Posted by realpatriot1 at 02:52 PM : Sep 01, 2008

I feel it would be more help if the States National Gaurd were here to help. Too bad a misfit for a President seems to think they need to be in Iraq and Afghanistan. After all it''s called National Guard for a reason.

poopus123,

Your own comment is a contradiction. You say preparation, in your opinion, should be a state matter then you pin all the blame on the local people.
Also, it wasn''t just black people who were empacted.

Regarding the Republican theory about storm prep being left to the states, I guess Katrina demonstrated just how stupid that is. States & Cities don''t have the resources to fully respond to a crisis of that level. Aside from that, Michael Brown was on the Today Show this morning and had an entirely different take than you. He said the feds, state, and local governments have to work together.

I;m not making excuses for Nagan and you need to stop making them for Bush.

i came back this year and found out that the KKK still is alive in some states.if i read the comments on this page i must agree , it is still alive. What a sad bunch of people.

Please dont believe we are all a bunch of racists. Granted the KKK is still alive but there are more of us that dont believe in racism. As long as the media gives coverage to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, racism will still exist. They are two of the biggest racists going.

sure thwir mayor said things he should not have..This time he stepped up to the plate and demamed the right. I love the cd Dark side of the moon, I am from Maine and the colour remarks were and are appalling. Some are colour blind, I hope they are safe the ones who could not be moved. As human beings and Americans their safty and well being be meet. I ''member an old sick lady in Katrina begging for help..She did not say I but we need help. She died as she was disbetic and needed her meds, That poor lady. A reporter covered her body. I saw it on TV. I was appalled . I hope the ones that are there are okay and help there. I am in Seattle.

poopus123,

If expoitative politicians like Sharpton & Jackson represent a good reason to not respect African-Americans then, by the same reasoning, exploitative
politicians like Guliani and Limbaugh who attempt to politicize every situation represent a good reason to not respect any white people.

Your comments are inherently racist and show your true colors.
