*** colors everything we do? Gee, I had no idea that when I build or program a computer, or even make a 3D model of an apple, I''m doing it so I can get someone into bed and rub my sausage all over them. :eyesroll:

As for infection, contamination, et al, many g-a-y-s say "it''s discrimination, waaah!" about not being able to donate blood. In the early days of GRID (now AIDS), because nobody knew a thing about it, the disease WAS spread by blood transfusions. It''s not as much about g-a-y- -m-e-n as it is preemptively ruling out unknown risks, for TRYING to keep new blood supplies safe. Heck, as I remember, people on many types of medications or even people who have a cold at the time cannot give blood. They''re not gay and might be virgins too because nobody can tolerate idiot savants, aspies, and so on...

STOP THE WRETCHED NARCISSISM. Roseanne was right and did not need to apologize for her comments. (Sorry to dig that up but she was right on that point.)

People don''t care what others do these days. That''s obvious. But as much as I don''t want a hetero telling me about what they do in bed, I don''t want a **** telling me what they do in bed. Or showing. Mardi Gras/BLTG "pride" are events you bet I avoid.

Life is NOT all about hittin'' the sheets. Only the shallow believe that. I used to believe that.

(In short, you think my response is bonkers? Re-read your original post and wince!)

IRLiberal, you wrote... Lots of bigotry and hate around these days.
Well, I am a bigot about people getting drunk or on drugs and hurting people, and many such things, and so it is with homosexuality, I am a bigot NOT against the people but the act of homosexuality simply because of the of disease in it, which then is passed on to the heterosexuals by bisexuals.
We must stop saying that people who have an opinion which is different are bigots or racist or are hateful, I am hateful against anything that will destroy us, what is wrong with that. Perhaps you should read medical reports as to why the act of homosexuality is a dangerous act..
Just go and look up on Google articles like, Science Shows That Homosexuals Are Not "Born That Way." December 13, 2004 or Infectious Diseases are a plight of homosexuals or Researchers are alarmed at signs of a NEW epidemic sweeping through homosexual communities which will enviably be transmitted to heterosexuals through bisexuals. and many others. Even Dr Robert Spitzer who was an advocate for homosexuals now sings a different song.. see.. New Study: *** Can Go Straight. Dr. Robert L. Spitzer is a professor of psychiatry at Columbia University. In 1973, he persuaded the American Psychiatric Association to remove homosexuality from its official diagnostic manual of mental disorders now he has a different message: "
IRLiberal, There is a reason for our laws. The life of the law is logic and centuries of experience.

IRLiberal, You stated that the g-a-y lifestyle isn''t about s-e-x and that people ''hate'' g-a-y-s. Well. Actually, I think that life, from puberty to the grave, IS all about s-e-x (does that sound Freudian or something?:) It is such a basic componet of our existence that it colors everything we do. And it is because of this inescapable componet of the human existence that I believe that what you perceive as ''hate'' is actually a basic, visceral fear of ''contamination'' or ''infection'' by someone with a different ''lifestyle''. Understand that the fear of being ''contaminated'' or ''infected'' by someone elses'' ''lifestyle'' is NOT the result of any kind of an aware decision making process but rather is an emotional reflexive response very much like the knee jerk of striking the correct location on a persons'' knee & watching the foot respond. Is that a right, just, or fair reaction? No. But the best that can be hoped for until the majority understands that they cannot be ''infected'' or ''contaminated'' is that you understand that it is not hate but fear and do not respond with hate. I don''t recomend ''turning the other cheek''. By the same token, don''t deliberately set out to inflame the fears. If you toss your pet spider into a room full of arachniphobes you wouldn''t have any right to get outraged if they all ''ganged up'' on the poor beastie and stomped it into the carpet:)

Lots of bigotry and hate around these days. People try to justify it by saying it isn''t bigotry and it isn''t hate... "oh look how disgusting this is!", as if their personal dislike was some sort of automatic qualifier for supernatural damnation.

They forget (or wish to obscure) that being g.ay isn''t about s.ex. It isn''t about labels or religion or politics or laws. It''s about who you are capable of loving, body and soul, and being loved by in return. It defines a culture that has existed as long as mankind itself has existed.

Some people really hate g.ay and lesbian people. I can''t say for sure why. Is it because we''re not 100% like them? Is it because we may not share their religion? Is it because they don''t personally share the same feelings? I don''t know. But it is because of that hatred, exemplified in posts here, a g.ay man or woman might get shot, robbed, beaten or staked out on a fence in Wyoming and left to die. That''s what it means to hate.

Most g.ay and lesbian people have the courage to stand up to that hate, and we do. Some give into it, and begin to hate themselves. All I know is that I know who I love, and why, and there isn''t enough hatred, bigotry, rhetoric or ignorance in all the world to change that.

As time passes, civil rights are being recognized for g.ay and lesbian people, and many of the old bigotries tend to fade. But there will always be a few, like some who post here, that will seek to destroy instead of understand.

Go ahead and explain how that''''s going to work. I''''ll wait. What a joke you''''ve made of yourselves.

They may explain it, but their explanation will, I''m sure defy all logic, if you can understand it at all.

And keep a straight face at the same time. LOL

They can''t be serious. America is heading for the sewer at warp speed. What next? Maybe the state can pay for the nuptials and arrange to hire a band and a caterer.

Minnick and Nojoy- YES!

Eddie Izzard has a bit where he goes "Careful California, you''re supposed to be the wild state" after going on a tirade about various Cali laws. They have cornered the market on legislating Political Correctness that it has inverted on itself and made no one have any rights at all. They''re so hung up on this notion that no one should be offended or discriminated against that it seems like the only people with rights there are biracial-gay-transgendered-liberal-non smoking-vegan...cats, or something.

California-you cannot legislate hurt feelings.

And as for the crack about people that hate Cali because we''re jealous that we can''t afford to live there? WOW, what a retarded thing to be proud of. Right on, dude, you''re paying $1,200 a month to sleep on the top bunk in the hallway of a two bedroom bungalow in Chico. Righteous.

knowhr, you keep assuming to much. Don''t say what people are not saying and then call them names because you assume that they mean something that they have not said..
knowhr as you would know, people become criminals for many reasons, a bad upbringing, no dad, no discipline, getting on drugs or simply that they just want to hurt and destroy lives.. and no I do not think that because they have had a bad upbringing is the cause for destroying lives, I explained that but perhaps you didn%u2019t get it.. of course if that is what you were referring to in reply to my saying that ''""oh I forgot, they have had terrible upbringings, or are on drugs so we should be more understanding". This is just what many judges seem to constantly give as excuses for why they are given no sentences or a very light sentence... I was being cynical, I am fed up with such people being allowed out on light sentences again and again to destroy the lives of people.. and no I don%u2019t advocate the things that you were saying, but I suppose that if it takes up words for you to surmise what people are saying then that is ok.. but I would rather a sensible discussion on what is actually being said...

This is why our founding Fathers formed a Republic.

Let Cafifornia do what it wants as long as they don''t push their liberal ways on my life.
Notice, how the most liberal States in our Nation is a contradiction of what Freedom really is..
They pay the highest taxes, while walking on eggshells.
Government eco-centric nanny States!
Highest Taxed States are Ma, Me, NY, NJ, CA, CT
A Product of Socialism / Communisism

Just please, however, don''''t expect the other 8 out of 9 of us in this country to automatically agree with your self evaluation that all things Californian are superior to all things not Californian.

No truer words were ever spoken. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The California superiority complex does get to be rather tiring, and boring. I never have been able to figure out how so many can think so much of themselves so often and for so many years. If it were true, it might be believable, but look at all of California''s problems. How are they superior now?

oh come on. Aren''t these people in prison? Didn''t they give up their rights by committing crimes? Why is this even in the news? They do not need to get married. they can get all the loving they want in prison and their bills are all paid..unless...does that mean that maybe the outside partners would be covered under the prison benefits? I DON''T THINK SO....
