Do you know that the Bible predicted scoffers like you right in the Word, which would come in the last days, SPECIFICALLY mentioning people like you who would doubt the 2nd coming of Christ in the future and mock it?? Your type is SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED, in these verses:
2 Peter 3:3-4
3First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4They will say, "Where is this ''coming'' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." - Reply to this comment

- School bus nagin was on TV. I bet he still hasn''t done a thing about getting ready for this storm. Luckily Bobby Jindal already has the National Guard at the ready which is a heck of a lot more than your dem blanco.
It is funny to notice the breathlessness your party and the media has for this storm. You are all just praying that it hits NO, aren''t you? - Reply to this comment
- The higher than average tide levels, combined with the storm surge could pose a big problem. I agree that, if you are able, now is a good time to gather up what you can and evacuate the areas that could be hit. There''s nothing you can do by staying around except possibly gaurd your belongings against looters. Your possessions aren''t worth your life. Go north and ride this thing out!

- The biggest concern is that there are TWO Storms on the way. Gustav and Hanna could combine into one nasty situation. Hanna is following the route of Katrina so far. It could be in the Gulf next week.
They could actually merge or feed of each other.
Pray that doesn''t happen. I am.
Keep watch at the NOAH web site.

- Luke 21:25-27 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men''s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

- Any storm that tracks itself into the super warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico is going to inflate into a Hurricane. This is going to be bad.

29 August 1100 EDT update:
Gustav is still annoying Jamaica but is about to leave the western end of the island. Sustained winds at 65 mph and central pressure is at 988 mb or 29.17 inches. The good news is the pressure has climbed a bit and the winds have fallen off a tad. The bad news is the storm''s much larger and it''s begining to edge toward the north. Upper level outflow is now fully established in all four quadrants. Forcast models still indicate highest probability of landfall is right over Terrebonne and St. Mary Parishes.
Something else to consider....If Gustav hits where it is projected to when it is supposed to we will be dealing with a a moon only two days past new. This means high tides will be that much higher and if the projections are right, Gustav''s storm surge will manifest itself just when the tide for Tuesday will be at its highest. Some people just can''t catch a break.
Jindal''s pre-emptive disaster declaration was a good move and I hope General Honore hasn''t tossed his roadmaps because I have a sinking feeling he''s going to need them again soon. - Reply to this comment

He was in Colorado for the DNC.
As fas as some people are concerned he can stay there and let Jindal handle things. Jindal has basically taken things out of Nagin''s hands anyway. Good for you Bobby. - Reply to this comment
