Comments on: Idaho Child Killer Gets Death Penalty
Joseph Edward Duncan III Sentenced For 2005 Kidnapping, Torture And Murder Of Boy
- Some kill like this killer in Idaho, others kill by making war against a nation that could never threaten us. They don''t use their own resources, no, they tax the American people, not for a standing army to defend our nation in time of need but rather as a brigade of hitmen to carry out their political whims. Such people would never get the death penalty even though they kill a whole lot more people,.

- How long have people been raping, murdering and torturing people? No one knows the start date but for most of our time on earth we have used the death penalty to deter these crimes. The rapes, the murders, the torture continue however. Isn''t it time we try something else?

- The death penalty is a much overused instrument to eliminate misfits society believes to be a threat. It neither prevents others from committing similar crimes nor does it bring back any of the victims of such crimes.
BUT.....
Joey Duncan''''s pathological indulgences and complete disregard of anything even remotely resembling decent human behavior is so far over the top that he is ineligible for any consideration whatever. The particularly gruesome murders proven to be of his ownership completely remove him from the ranks of man. He has not only forfited his right to live but has also punted away his right to die with dignity.

Well said, and now, let this monster dangle from a rope. And Justice will be served. - Reply to this comment

- To you bleeding heart liberals who do not believe in the death penalty, the court should rule that this guy should live with you and your familes. I hope he does not survive jail. He should recieve the same treatment he gave to his victums, a slow and painfull death.

- i have a certain dream over and over it is the sound of a .50 cal and screams of soldiers begging me to lift off too soon.I will always have these sounds in my head.I chose not to take the head drugs as they were unproven and too a certain degree i believe will always be unproven.I live a life of solitude in the mountains. I do not wish to kill again but had to in self defense98.A man attacked me out mistaken identity and i was FORCED to shoot him down.Individuals fight wars as groups but return home individuals and often shunned by , yes even thier own family. You may be standing next to a person who has killed hundreds and not know it.They dont want you to know and spend a life time praying to forget.

His body will be 6 foot under, his soul will answer for his deeds. If there is a hell surely he will go there. - Reply to this comment
- I still believe that when he dies he faces a much worse fate than anything we as a people can do to him.

The only way to change the thinking of someone like studio41 is when it happens to someoe he cares about. Then i would like to hear from him on how he feels about the death penalty. I had a class mate in college, when her husband was murdered she changed her attitude overnight and now staunchly defends the death penalty. - Reply to this comment

You come up with a way to give back the lives he took so violently and then perhaps there could be a discussion about doing away with the death penalty. - Reply to this comment

An excellent idea, but would you want to receive a body part from a monster like this ? You have to consider the psychological consequences that accompany a body part transplant. It is a very emotional thing for a person to go thru. - Reply to this comment

For anyone to suggest locking up a soldier returning from combat who has killed is absurd. I do believe all should receive a mental evaluation for PTSD, and receive any treatment necessary. I was back 6 years before they asked if i neded help. I was lucky, i had adjusted on my own. What helped me was i left sf and became an electrician. To be able to build and repair things brought me back to reality. - Reply to this comment
- Sick! Sick! Sick! There is only one place good enough for this man, and I believe that is six feet under. Let him feed the worms.

You are wrong to assume anyone who kills will do it again. I was traied to kill and did so in war. The result, i came back anti war and i do not want to hurt or kill anyone again if i don''t have to. I think it make me a better person, but what a price to pay for it. - Reply to this comment
