You might want to go back and read a history book! lol The French Revolution happened BEFORE Napoleon came to power. The focus of the revolution was against Louis XVI starting 1789.
Napoleon invaded Russia in 1812 while the Brits and Americans were busy with their own war.
Napoleon was finally defeated in 1815.

The Native Americans, here in north America fought valiantly against the invading white man to try to preserve their people and ways of life and traditions. Are you going to tell us that none of them fought for freedom?

The Civil War here in America was a war fought over freedom. It was the bloodiest war of America''s involvement because everyone who died on both sides were American. There were battles where 30,000 soldiers died in a single day in hand to hand combat. Those who remained alive got to lie awake at night and listen to wild animals eat the remains of their fighting comrads.

So, what was the question? Name one war where anyone actually died fighting for Freedom? Go back all the way in history, every war was a war in which someone greedy wanted to control someone else, and unless that someone else laid down and played dead, there was a war over freedom.

You should study your history. There would be no America without the farm boys who followed George Washington into war against England. Many of those were from Scotland and Ireland whose family had already been fighting England for about 500 years for Freedom. Did you ever hear of William Wallace who lead his fellow Scotsmen against the English in the 13th Century? He fought valiantly, sometimes winning, and sometimes not. He was pursued by the English until his capture and execution in 1305. The Scots fought for freedome for 500 years in Scotland, and when many came to America, they were not going to lose here, and they didn''t. Of course, the American Revolution was not just about the Scots. The Germans and French also fought.

That sounds very nice and fighting for Mom, apple pie, truth and justice, and the American way DOES happen in the movies. In actual combat you are only fighting for your buddies....they are the only world you know at the time.
