Omega man says that federal numbers are different than states. I suppose he knows what he is talking about.

And also: People that have run out of unemployment benefits but still have not returned to work are not counted!

Products (gray market) that are sold in other countries are almost always have cosmetic defects or second quality. This is especially true of electronics.

No, the unemployment numbers are derived from a set of two random surveys, they are not based on unemployment benefits (this is for the federal rate only, the states may indeed base their numbers on benefit collection)

Ask all you want about the Illinois nursing programs. My daughter has been a nurse for 3 years and applied for several colleges and would have had no problem getting into any of them. No waiting list.

Case in point, Nike paying their sweatshop labor $59 a month in Vietnam and still selling their Air Jordans for $150 a pair. For a little bit less, I can get a nice pair of New Balance and they have five factories here in the US.

The same shoes can be purchased in other countries for much less. It is more about supply and demand and what the consumers are willing to pay than it is about what it costs to make the shoes. If customers stopped buying the shoes because they were too expensive then the prices would go down. NIKE is an international company not an American company. So opening a plant in Vietnam is not really outsourcing.

The laws and lack of laws are in place for the wealthy to exploit people and resources.
