can the usa have this immigration law?

Mexico''s Immigration Law: Let''s Try It Here at Home

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

in the country legally;
have the means to sustain themselves economically;
not destined to be burdens on society;
of economic and social benefit to society;
of good character and have no criminal records; and
contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:
immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country%u2019s internal politics;
foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

Reporting Illegal Aliens: A Citizen Takes Up Arms For His Country
http://www.vdare.com/king/citizen_takes_up_arms.htm

Teddy had it so right! Not Kennedy, but Roosevelt!

Theodore Roosevelt''s ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person''s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something
else also, isn''t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight. Theodore Roosevelt

Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country. Theodore Roosevelt

"He noted that the company has hired a former U.S. attorney as a compliance officer..."

Uh...that ain''t gonna help a whole lot if that U.S. Attorney has ever successfully passed a Gonzo/Goodling screening process...

Unfortunately Agriprocessors is not the only unethical employer in Iowa. The State of Iowa is rampant with employers who low ball wages, provide nothing less than hostile work environments, and allow for legal mistreatment of good workers. I live in an area where our hispanic population outnumbers anyone else, and many no doubt are illegal workers. I have heard from a few of them that they only make four dollars an hour cleaning chicken manure from the egg production facility. Some of the other hispanics are employed in the pork production industry. Its sad to see that these immigrants are being mistreated, but at the same time we have taken our attention away from the other problems facing employees. Iowa needs better laws protecting employees from immoral employers with strict enforcement. We can thank some of our Republicans for the laws giving business all the say and giving the poor individuals working for them nothing.

Everybody know it.

charges have been filed against two low-level supervisors, but the plant''s owners haven''t faced any charges connected to the raid

That''s how it works when the GOP is running the show!

This kind of scumbag behavior by the owners of this meatpacking plant is just the tip of the iceberg, as companies across the US hire illegals at minimum wage or less to maximize profits thus robbing american workers of earning decent wages.

And of course these companies know full well exactly the nature of these workers legal situations and purposely hire illegals knowing they won''t file an income tax report so they can pocket the money withheld from their paychecks.

Also, all of our elected officials are also fully aware this is going on and turn a blind-eye, most times refusing to do anything until it becomes public and then they act surprised - don''t believe a word of it.

The meatpacking company owners oughta be imprisoned and our leaders who allow it oughta join them in their cells as well.
