Here''s a little bit about Bob Barr. Pay special attention to the part about due process at the end.

But in his eight years in Congress (he failed to win re-election in 2002), Barr was one of Washington''s loudest critics of the federal government''s abuses of power, taking the lead in investigating the raid on Waco and in opposing Bill Clinton''s efforts to undermine due process in terrorism cases.

I submit for the above reasons a significant increase in the use of criminal procedures and the replacement of war/warrior designations with criminal designations would positively impact both of the above issues reducing terrorist recruiting and uniting world opinion and increasing international cooperation to restrain terrorist activities.

"Strategy To Fight Terrorism "Cannot Be Limited To Law Enforcement"

We prefer to aid the terrorist recruiting by allowing them to appear as freedom-fighters expelling an invader in a war instead of being common criminals.

The military in general (excluding military police) are trained to take and hold ground and not gather and maintain evidence for criminal prosecutions. Hence all the problems politically, legally and internationally resulting from the military tribunals in Gitmo.

I submit for the above reasons a significant increase in the use of criminal procedures and the replacement of war/warrior designations with criminal designations would positively impact both of the above issues reducing terrorist recruiting and uniting world opinion and increasing international cooperation to restrain terrorist activities.

We should put about 200 million pizzas and 100 million cases of beer on the Chinese credit card and make a party holiday out of it.

"Strategy To Fight Terrorism "Cannot Be Limited To Law Enforcement"

So basically he is admitting to being a criminal, but trying to justify his criminal act.

No, you liar, murder, and corrupt thief, you are indeed limited to law enforcement by the US constitution you disdain so much, after taking an oath to protect and defend it, and by international law.

"Extralegal" is the same as "illegal", idiot.

Can you read or do you just look at the pictures....GALLUP POLL back to 1930''s

And wow, 9% I guess that''s the difference between ****** and Shlttier. Go back to your coloring books.

While Gallup polling goes back to the 1930s, it wasn''t until the Truman years that they began surveying monthly approval ratings.

CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider adds, "He is more unpopular than Richard Nixon was just before he resigned from the presidency in August 1974."

President Nixon''s disapproval rating in August 1974 stood at 66 percent
