Sounds like the McCain campaign is running short on cash.

That cane will fetch a hefty price on ebay.

There''s an article over on USA Today right now about an 85 year-old woman who held her 17 year-old attacker at gunpoint until the cops she called came. http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/2008-08-19-intruder-woman_N.htm?csp=34

What a scumbag. It takes a special kind of loser to prey on the elderly. I wish he would have tripped and fell down the stoop during his getaway and impaled himself on the cane as the Bible flew open to the page where God gives Moses the 10 commandments. Or maybe we''ll all get lucky and one of his elderly victims will be packing some heat.

I hope I''m wrong, but I really believe that if they ever catch him, nothing will happen. The judge will turn him loose and the scum bag will be back on the street within hours.

This guy is just sick and wrong. I hope he gets arrested so he can have a proper trial, followed by a sentence that places him in general population where he can get a proper beating every night for the rest of his life.

Hay notmudrose!!!

Your reply in this story is totally and completely off-topic. Stick to the topic man. Your so engrossed in politics it has diluted your reasoning and ability to cope in life.

If you want to talk politics and your complete hatred of anyone who believes in God, and any and all republicans (Yea, I''''m one; so what about it?!) go to another forum.

Your completely off-topic here.

Unfortunately, when this piece of filth is apprehended, he''ll get a court assigned attorney who will plead as a defense his terrible and abusive upbringing and his general environment as mitigating factors to having committed the crime. Then the jury will side with the criminal and feel judicially compassionate for him and not find him guilty. The victim, of course, will never be able to receive justice since the system protects and cares more about criminals than they do the victims.

[Police have released video from the latest incident last week, when 85-year-old Lillian France was choked and robbed of $900 and her cane as she attempted to get off an elevator in a Crown Heights building. ]

so ... what''s an 85 year old woman w/ a cane doing with $900 dollars in cash on ''her person'' in crown heights ... by herself?

she should put $40 in one pocket/purse ... and $860 in the other/hidden. when the mugger asks for the money ... you reach for the $40 and hand that to them ... saying that''s all you have.
