Also CBS is behind the times. Reuters has the scoop on a white kid in rural Oklahoma who may or may not have used the "N" word today. According to sources a child as young as 13 was said to have yelled "Aw hell no, ***** [sic]!" as his friend (also white), claiming to impersonate basketball great Kobe Bryant, went in for a layup at a local junior high. - It would be nice to protect the elderly. But where are the same protections for children? Our American society will correctly shun those who hit elderly or handicapped regardless of their dependency or behavior. But parents who beat their child are off the hook. It would seem there is definite bias in this media. These newspeople are getting close to retirement age. No wonder they don''t write about child beatings unless the child is beaten pretty grotesquely. It is always about them.

- Elderly people are always taken advantage of. We get mad when a mugger (perhaps a black mugger)steals the cane of the elderly. But I think the elderly are more likely robbed in cold blood by white collar folks. Anyone who commits crime against those who cannot protect themselves (elderly and the children) must be severely punished. That''s what I think.
