You spend months in combat, trying to help people and see them kill your troops and see how you react, then come back and talk about how it was in combat.

Given that the charges are "one count of voluntary manslaughter on suspicion of killing or causing others to kill four unarmed detainees", I believe the post-ETS trial is appropriate.

We had a Secretary of Defense who was, and still have a President who is, willing to lie to start a war to remove somebody they did not like from power.

Given that between them they controlled who was promoted in the military, and given the acknowledged corruption of the Department of Justice to ensure the placement of personnel who thought in a specific manner, it behooves us to ensure that our troops understand the consequences of carrying out orders that they know are unlawful.

Permitting the shooting of unarmed prisoners is entirely too convenient of a means to proactively remove those you don''t like from power, and must be discouraged at all costs.

Again, this Administration has set a precedence for hirings and promotions based upon political perspectives, and not upon adherence to the law.

When a civilization''s leadership fails it, then the responsibility to ensure that we act in a civilized manner must be placed upon the shoulders of the civilization''s citizens - and that includes its soldiers.

You were not there but you assume these civilians were unarmed. If they were not combatants they would not have been in the area. The civilians know when trouble is coming and get the hell out.

the civilians have more right to be in the area than your assinine troops - thoseee are thri homes and their city.......and the facts are that the US military has a history of murdering unarmed civilians then "punishing" the culprits with a slap on the wrist

the hero of the US military - the mass murderer William Calley - served a grand total of a few months house arrest for the My Lai massacre

Gulf of Tonkin. USS Berkeley. One of the most educational periods of my life. That''''s when I found out that my enemies were usually in Washington DC and Wall Street.
And I never was an MP.
I also found out that when somebody is trying to kill me, military, in uniform, or otherwise, the only "regulation" is to kill him first.
And the Marines have a close relationship with the Navy.

The 2 USN shi;ps supposedly attacked in the gulf of Tonkin were the Maddox and Turner Joy......the fact that you were on the Berkely proves that in the Tonkin incident your f**king ship wasn''t even in the incident zone so you have not been "in combat"
