Tropical Storm Expected To Slowly Reach Hurricane Status As It Nears Florida Keys
- People should gather in large groups and pray. Prayer can defect the storm elsewhere so it can hit Gods intended target, sinners.

When George Bush was absent during Katrina, he was celebrating John Mc Cain''s birthday. They were together and there is footage of the film.
To See the footage just Google..."John Mc Cain''s Youtube problem just became a nightmare." and click the choice with John Mc Cain''s picture.- Reply to this comment
- Look, we all know that God punishes communities by sending hurricanes to them. I mean, look at New Orleans. What could be more obvious. So, my question is this: What have the good people of the Keys done to annoy God so much? Fornication? Inflation? I mean, really! They must have done something. And when you consider it, all of humanity, even those in the Midwest, must have done something really troubling to God for him to curse them with cancer. Wouldn''''t you all agree? So, let''''s focus on what''''s really important here: What have you people been doing to annoy God so much?

- The funniest thing is that some of these weather forecaster claim to be hurricane experts, there is no such thing .

-I wish you the best and am glad you are taking precautions and prepared to leave if need be. My prior comment was about the whiners, not people like you. Do what you need to do to protect your family. First and foremost. Godspeed, friend. - Reply to this comment
- Does it matter whether its the wind or the surge that creates the most devasation? It''s FLORIDA. Anyone living anywhere near coastal Florida knows that Hurricanes happen and I have no sympathy for people who choose not to evacuate or the people with thier million dollar condos on the beach complaining how they''ve ''lost everything.''

- Maybe Fay will destroy Florida to make up for 8 years of George Bush.

- Wind is not a hurricanes worst thing near an ocean. Strm surge can level everything.

Here on the East Coast of Fl, storm surge has degraded our coastline---but the Wind certainly has been the most destructive! - Reply to this comment

- One of the worst things about the storm is waiting for it. I am directly in the projected path (as of NWS advisory 9A) but it''s not due here until Wednesday afternoon. We have not had a direct hit here in central north Florida that I can remember (60+ years) and I hope we don''t. I am preparing anyway, with everything from a generator to kerosene lanterns and bottled water. Our house is similar to what is called a "cracker shack", a wood house built on concrete blocks laid on the ground. If we get slammed here it WILL be bad, even though it is not densely populated. If the state says evacuate I''m into the motorhome and out of here. Wish us luck.

- Can you blame the people for not leaving? 50 mph winds? Please spare me- all summer we have had worse than that in the midwest. Last week''s storm had 80 mph winds! No way I''d cut my vacation short either. Go find some real news to report!

- Most houses in florida, even low budget houses, are made out of cinterblock. I wouldn''''t worry too much about it.

You can''t live in a cinder block house when the roof is gone. - Reply to this comment
- Shaping up to be another weak year for big hurricanes.
Global warming enthusiasts are desperately hoping for a major hurricane to deliver death and destruction to the gulf states. This latest storm looks like another frustration for them. Sorry. - Reply to this comment

- When upwards of 100 to 200 hundred thousand people perish from a natural disaster such as a hurricane on OUR shores, THEN people will start taking these storms here serious and demand the prepaid services from our illustreous FEMA that they have been paying for in higher taxes, and PROPER accountability. Bush administration = chickens with their heads cut off running around.

- I just hope that when and if Fay does hit Florida, that everyone is safe. We have had a second home in Florida for the past 5 years. So far we have been lucky with no damage to our place.
