You have nailed it. The problem is that with our government refusing to defend our border, we have leeches from Mexico and Guatemala sucking the blood out of our economy. The loss of benefits to these Disneyland workers is just another consequence of both the Democratic and Republican parties catering to the extremely wealthy at the expense of the poor.

Because of the illegal alien population, wages are lower all across the U. S., while in Mexico, wages are increasing. Our citizens could find decent wages and conditions before this tsunami of criminal invaders came.

I hope these workers realize that most of the Disney revenues go to the teen talent, flavors of the month such as Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, The Jonas Bros and the High School Musical cast. Normally I''m not in favor of unions - and this time looks like no exception. It''s difficult raising kids and caring for parents on a low wage job - and that''s the reason to work to have a high wage job, or have fewer kids if you cannot afford them. Develop skills, or work more hours, or find a less pleasant job to do (supply and demand applies just fine to labor - if you find a job fewer people want, it''ll pay more). For my mom, she worked multiple jobs, developed skills, got promoted, ended up with a very good job.

But expecting a business to pay you more than you make for them - that just never works out.

During my freshman year of high school, we went on a band trip to Disney World in Orlando. While we were back stage heading to our parade route, we saw Tinkerbell back there smoking. Completely ruined our images of Disney characters.
