I confess to being a hypocrite - I consider myself a peaceful person, but I have a young nephew and if anyone ever harmed him I''d be on trial for muder. I don''t buy the abuse defense all the time - I was abused myself badly as a child, and would no more harm a child than cut off my hand. I got a lot of help and therapy so the buck would stop here.

Over and over again we hear how miscreants act on a belief that they have been wronged and therefore ought to seek revenge. From the Columbine killers to this wretch its the same song. The self indulgent mantra which goes 1)I have a right to be happy 2) If I am not happy someone has violated my rights 3)those who violate my rights should pay 4) the payment may morally be exacted thru whatever means are neccessary. And so it not surprising that the degenerate and inferior seek their "revenge" against the normal and the superior when society so often claims that the losers are the victims of the winners.

I hate to tell you this, but there was s/ex offenders back when we were growing up. It just was not talked about as much. And too, we were a much more innocent people back then. And too, there were alot fewer people as well. Apparently, the more people you have, the more chances these freaks have to take advantage of somebody. Pretty sad really

I have to admit that I am guilty of this. I can''''t help but be suspicious when I see a single man with a child. I automatically assume the worst. I know it is terrible but there is just so much ugliness in the world that now we can''''t believe a man can be trusted with a child. Sick and sad.

I''m surprised the little lump of meat made it to court at all. Too bad the law enforcement in Idaho couldn''t have made a "slip" and left him open for abduction and the same treatment he dished out. Trouble is finding someone willing to reduce themselves to animals to exact the punishment.

Oh, I agree! This is way worse than what I refered to. But I have read where a 35-40 yr old taking advantage of a 12 or a 13 yr old. But I was reading some of these posts, and some were ready to string up the 1st guy they saw. Of course, thats a little exagerated,,but, the point being not all men are capable of doing what this guy did. Most couldn''t even imagine doing this. So to blame all men is not right. That was my point.

Anyways,,this creep needs to roast for what he did.

There''s no excuse for them either. Whether male or female my opinion does not change. If you sexually assault/rape a child you should be put to death. Just because I am a woman doesn''t mean that I am attacking only male rapists. I am about protecting children.

Exactly. Death penalty opponents claim it isn''t a deterrent. But death sure does cut down on repeat offenders.

If this guy had been put to death after the first rape, these victims would have been saved. The death penalty saves lives.
