Of course not. Walking around at any hour is not probably cause. I am often out at that hour and would not take kindly to extra attention from the police.

In no case does any police agency have the authority to stop and question or search anyone without probable cause.

You mean to tell me that walking around at 3am isn''t probably cause? Honestly if I DIDN''T get stopped by the cops while out wandering the streets at that time of night I feel that the police aren''t doing their job! I''m sorry that they are taking away the right for these people to deal drugs and kill eachother, that really is too bad.

The people who die in wars do it to protect the wealthy and powerful.

Those kids, YOUR KIDS, learn by observing their parents. -- All kids do. -- All they ever get to see of their parents is what they do at home, AFTER working hours. -- Eating, sleeping, and watching TV. -- They are merely emulating their parents, which is natural. -- Humans were not designed to learn from books, they were designed to learn from each other, and from experience. -- Turn off the TV. -- Take your kids out, and teach them things. -- Learn how to do things together. -- It may be the only hope for the future.

State of Arkansas, state of distress, Police State, state of confusion, state of ANARCHY. -- That IS where this is headed. -- Simple anarchy. -- That condition where there is no coherent government or governing body in control. -- Where everybody decides for themselves what is right and wrong, and legal. -- Where civilization breaks down, and what takes its p0lace is anybody*s guess. -- We are already half-way down that road. -- Mankind is getting a failing report card, and it shows.

"Uh...the fact that a crime is being committed about every other minute in the town sounds like pretty good PC to me! "

So all I have to do is tell you crime is bad and scare you, and you willingly give up your rights and prod others to do the same. Shameful. People have fought and died to protect those things you are throwing away.

tuckerndfw stsated:
"The police have no authority to randomly stop and search anyone without probable cause."

This is true. But what about a druggie on probation? Id he/she fair game?

The sad truth is that society has digressed to the point where people have no zest for life anymore.

Lettuce has narcotic properties. Nutmeg and parsley contain mind-altering chemicals as do many common herbs and spices. Tomato and eggplant are from a plant family that produces powerful drugs. Not to mention what things like vitamins and ginseng can do !

Well..it''s been fun. But I gotta go,,maybe I''ll go to the fridge, yank out a tomato, cut it up, wrap some lettuce leaves around it ,with a dash of nutmeg, and sm,,,,nah,,I''ll just eat it I think. LOL Have fun folks!

slim1h2o asked once again:
"Where do stop banning certain substances?"

Alcohol and cigarettes cause $ billions of untold damage each year. Not to mention birth defects (of which the child never asked for) and horrific emotional distress.

Common sense man, common sense.

I was trying to prve a point with slavery comment. But anyways, I don''t smoke. I was just saying that we have to watch out, or we''ll be losing alot more freedoms down the road. And this article proves my point very well.

We are slowly moving towards a police state. No ifs and or buts!

Look, slim, I''m on your side. I dabble from time to time myself. But the point is you ARE at the mercy of your employer within the limits of the law. Slavery? There are laws to deal with companies that operate illegally. If you happen to test positive, the worst thing is you get fired. An invasion of privacy would be if they passed those results to government authorities.

Sugar can certainly cause people to have an altered state as well.

Latrocinor got it wrong:
"You are so right. We should try anarchy like you are supporting."

Since when is wanting to prevent people from using drugs anarchy?

You are correct. I got it wrong. I misread and thought what the dopehead was saying was you talking. My apologies.
I agree with you.

"Are you so pathetic that you cannot enjoy life without drugs? Common sense man, common sense. "

Common sense? Nah. All humans have a need for altered states of perception whether drugs, religion, meditation, music. In fact we each have a duty to run our mind and body as each of us sees fit, not according to some weird puritanical ideal.

Drugs have been around since the dawn of consciousness and serve an important function. It is the abuse of the drugs and the mind, the repression, the shame, the money that causes problems.

By private sector, I obviously don''''t mean your home. I mean the private sector as opposed to a government entity.

Posted by kazoodan at 01:18 PM : Aug 13, 2008

Ok,,I''ll play devils advocate, for a minute.

You say, that an employer can enslave you, because they are not subjected to the same laws that the government is?

I exagerated to prove a point. The point is, we should have rights within our work place, just like our homes. It''s just as important that we are covered in the workplace, because! If don''t work, we can''t afford a home. And that point has been missed by the courts. I do know what the law is. I just don''t agree with it. Like I said, we should be secure in our persons, effects, and papers. Thats what the law says.
