Thompson said he never spoke about the subject with Cohen. But the department said Thompson met with Cohen at least twice and discussed plans for the new lab, once in February 2007 in Mississippi and again a year later in Washington.

"You told me more about the process than I know," Thompson told the AP. "I haven''t talked to anyone about it, not to Jay Cohen or anyone."

Well, on the one hand Mississippi isn''t a bad choice. If something escapes from the lab it won''t damage much.

On the other hand, the only reason to move it is so some some well GOP connected land developer can make a mint putting something on the island.

Congress and the administration are bought, paid for and corrupt as hell.

I think the lab should be built in Texas on the Bush ranch. LOL

So he can fleece the American taxpayer even more? With high rent prices, or land prices?

I don''t think so. They need to leave the dam lab right where it is. Out in the middle Long Island Sound.

At least there is no animals that could be exposed to deseases that may escape during some kind of "accident" (?) ;)

No matter where they chose the lab should be out in the middle of no where. Keep it as far away from the general population since the will be dealing with highly infectious stuff. I''''m sure most people would not want the Lab in their back yard so build it where its the least objectionable the people in general.

Since when has the Bush/Cheney Gang given any thought whatever to, ''Growing negative community feedback?''

Remember New Orleans?

Wanna bet there are a slew of Republican fat-cat donor/looters who have already been awarded sweetheart contracts?

The GOP (Greedy Outlaw Parisites) getting ready for the upcomming years out of power, no doubt.
