Comments on: Dogs Killed In Raid On Mayor's Home
Maryland Home Was Apparently Target Of Pot Smuggling Scheme; Police Conduct Questioned
- Since I cannot have children, my dogs are my children. If anyone barged in my door and shot my "children" down in cold blood... well... it''s just scary to think of what I would do to those law unenforcement officers. Sueing them for a hundred billion dollars would be the least of their worries! I wish I had gone to law school because I would pay to take this couple''s case!

- Give Up UR guns and let the law protect Us...Sure sounds rediculous doesn''t it!

Now the criminals might break in and shoot you and the cops might break in and shoot you. Either way, if you shoot back, your going to jail, that''s if you don''t end up dead. - Reply to this comment
- thgdriver: I know there''s no intelligent life in NJ...never has been. It''s the armpit of the Northeast and smells just as bad.

- Actually, the drugs were left by the keystone cops themselves. It''s unbelievable!!
If I came home and a package was on my doorstep I would also assume my wife ordered something from QVC or Sears, She does it all the time. - Reply to this comment
- rwm2_2000: My vote is for "none of the above." Even have nothing to choose from for lesser of the evils anymore.

- Well alot of you folks have brought up some good
points, and some with a tad-much "vitriole". But any
way, when the cops showed up, considering that they
were already tracking the package, and were kind of
familiar with their ''target'' area, you wonder if it
could have been "launched" with something along the
lines of "excuse me Mam, can I have a look at your
package there.." etc? I mean this wasn''t exactly a
a crusty, walled compound in Fallujah that they were
dropped into. It''s like finding out after the Waco
raid, that they could have picked up Koresh on one
of his trips to Walmart or at one of his favoite bars.
I''m surprised that no one said, well, let''s chill and
see what they do with their "delivery", and then make
a move.I mean I don''t think these folks had a helicopter, or a "technical" with a 50 cal. or other
means to make a break for it. - Reply to this comment
- was being just as sarcastic as you were....so who''''s not too bright? Besides, I''''m too law abiding to even think about being one of those low-lifes.

Your sarcasm observer was very clear. "Boob" in New Jersey don''t like his state being used that way. Did you not hear that aliens from another planet landed in NJ, determined no intelligent life was there and left for good. - Reply to this comment

Well said wakeup - I''d sue the city in a heartbeat on this. - Reply to this comment
- Thanks to the stupid right-wing supported war on drugs the cops think they can act like they were in ... oh .... Baghdad or somewhere. There''s nothing like a sniff of dope for even the most level-headed cop into Rambo. It''s a good thing that the mother-in-law wasn''t a gun totin looney like a lot of posters on here - she''d be dead as well as the poor dogs and a couple of cops.

- This police force...what in the hell...just like it was stated before...How about checking out the residence and seeing who lived there/if the authorities were aware that this was a sting set-up and these pkgs. were being delivered in a manner that they were aware of as well...How dare their negligence...my God, it''s a wonder all this family didn''t expire from a heart attack...and their beautiful dogs, harmless labs...of course they would defend their owners while being attacked/and one was running away...and he was shot on purpose! Nothing will bring back their beloved pets/what a disaster-they will be traumatized forever over this incident/and no apologies...for anything!!!!! And he''s even the Mayor!I''m not the sueing type/but if I were in this guys shoes-I would lower the BOOM on all of these IDIOTS/publicly...and do as many NEWS RELEASES and Video NEWSCASTS until someone stepped up to the PLATE!!!!!!!!! Too Late Though-Isn''t It? Precious Dogs...what an absolute SHAME!!!!!!!

- Bunch of stupid keystone cops running amok! Of course the are going to stand their ground and not admit blame or guilt. They will stone wall because they are going to be sued and they know it.
We as a nation have our rights being stomped on by police thugs it looks like. They felt threatened by some pet dogs! What a laugh. - Reply to this comment

- granted he is the mayor of a small town, yet chancesa re quite good, he knows his state legislature and US senator and congresaman on first name basis, sad part is, is that this will be blown over and there will be a financial settlement, but no one accountable nor laws changed.
what do the average citezen do, that do not know their elected officials? - Reply to this comment
- My husband is a Los Angeles cop. He has said to me on many occasions that a lot of cops are just stupid, not really malicious or evil, just stupid, that sounds like the case here.

- [Suddenly, police with guns drawn kicked in the door and stormed in, shooting to death the couple''s two dogs and seizing the unopened package. In it were 32 pounds of marijuana. But the drugs evidently didn''t belong to the couple. ]
another victory in the war on drugs ... those dogs were known around the surrounding neighborhoods as bullies and tyrants.
why not just go down the street and search every home w/ all weapons drawn ... shouldn''t it be as easy as we can make it for the ''authorities'' to violate everyone''s rights?
looks like some promotions are in order. - Reply to this comment
- Above anything else, a Police Officer swears to uphold the law. Posted by DaVicar2.

Now that is THE biggest CROCK of *** I''ve heard in a very long time. Cops pay no attention to the law. Little case in point: There was a cop in their Private Owned Vehicle, was seriously speeding, pass people on a hill in no passing zone, ran two red lights and one stop sign...just to get out to the range to re-qualify. Like that was a life-or-death situation...plus he was in his POV! The cops are NOT out there to uphold the law...they are above the law, they just pretend to enforce it (when it suits their purposes). - Reply to this comment
