I know the Kumbayyah or We Are The World songs are nice and I''''d like to sing them too. However, reality says that racism IS still an issue. We are not that far out of the Civil Rights Movement...that pushed many people to switch parties because they didn''''t support it. In fact, the original race card playing of recent memory was Nixon''''s Southern Strategy.

We can bury our heads in the SAND about racism if we want to. We do the same thing related to Social Security, the end of oil, etc. It doesn''''t make it go away, but as long as you say it isn''t so, you can deny it.
