: "But I know that they were relentless, relentless, both domestically and
: overseas, both with the notion that it could have been a part of a broader terrorist network

Yeah, Homeland Security seems eager to stick this on terrorist networks. So eager perhaps they are overlooking that maybe someone in our own government did this to beat the "fear terrorism" drum a little harder. The FBI should have been swarming all over the idea that this might have been an inside job. Who''s anthrax was it, anyway? How many people could possibly be involved? This investigation is botched worse than the OJ Simpson investigation.

Also it is interesting to note, that Cheney proposed dressing up Navy Seals as Iranians, placing them in Iranian Style PT Boats, and "Attacking" U.S. Naval Warships when they passed through the Straits of Hormuz, to get War with Iran back on the Front Burner.
Cheney has never given up trying to complete his Neocon Wet Dream of Overthrowing the Governments in his Original Plan to Control ALL the Oil in the ME.

Should anyone be surprised the FBI messed up the anthrax investigation. It cost the American taxpayers 6 million dollars paid out to Steven Hatfill unfairly accused of sending the anthrax letters.

Prior to 09/11 an FBI Supervisor stopped the investigation of the Middle Eastern student pilot that only wanted to learn to fly the plane, but not land it. We all know what happened after that.

The American public deserves better from their Government. If the FBI can''t perform better then perhaps changes need to be made.

Another case of CIA assisted suicide.......Dr. Ivins joins another Fort Detrick Alumni, Dr. Frank Olson. The dead cannot speak and incriminate their perpetrators.

"While aides to Gerald Ford, Donald Rumsfeld and Richard Cheney helped cover up the background to the death of CIA scientist, Frank Olson who fell from a 10th floor window in 1953, not long after he had been classified as a potential security risk."

"Olson''s son Eric says his father''s conscience was troubled by awareness of Nazi-style CIA experiments on human subjects. "

The Israeli''s do not have US Army military grade Anthrax. This Anthrax is only traceable to US Army Weapons Facilities.........

Don''t forget Sec. Forrestal had a "nervous breakdown" and flew out of a window when he started talking about UFOS...

Sound familiar?.........

Frank Olson was not, after all a civilian employee of the Army. He was a CIA employee working at Fort Detrick on precursor programs to MK-ULTRA, specializing in anthrax aerosols, possibly for for use in covert assassination.
Olson''s passport, indicates that in the summer of 1953 --only months before his death-- he had visited secret joint American-British testing and research installations near Frankfurt, Germany where he had likely witnessed terminal experiments on expendable prisoners. His misgivings were such that a British intelligence agent who became aware of them recommended that Olson be denied further access to Porton Down, the British chemical-weapons research establishment."

Do you know how many of these Fort. D. scientists died/ suicide/ disappeared around retirement or departure time? Not even fort D folks. Many Nationalitys in this field died under very strange circumstances.
It started hopefully with Frank Olsen who was admittedly killed by CIA, and rumsfield and Cheney settled with the family so ther would be no lawsuit.

How did he send the letters for N.J and UK?
They would never let him never this stuff if he was suicidal etc.

This is also not the first AIRBOURNE anthrax outbreak in the US. that had plausible deniability. A wool(?) processing buiding and the one downwind of it in in new england was knocked down and burned brick by brick and buried during he cold war. Another building deemed too dangerous to tear down has been boarded up since the 60''s or 70''s on Fort. D.

This one had deniability too - blaming the terrorists in a not too convincing way.

Those civialian medals usually go to some one who kept their mouth shut. It this guy did it, He could have unleasehed anything. Also why was he working on Anthax for 30 years? A Vaccine? Plausible deniability again....

Another case of CIA assisted suicide. Years of continuing secrecy, the CIA remains an elite organization with agendas kept beyond the realm of the FBI.

The answer to the Anthrax mystery lies with Bush, Cheney and the CIA strategists who wanted to drum up support for the invasion and regime change of seven countries. Putting the American people in fear of terrorism for their dirty game on the world stage was a disgusting choice. Using a genetically fingerprinted US Army military grade Anthrax was not very smart. They never thought anyone would research the materials genetic fingerprint. Money, power, greed for gain, they all need to be indicted for crimes against humanity in the World Court where justice will be served for all.

"Unfortunately, it doesn''t bring anything to closure," Daschle said. "This probably further complicates their ability to get to the facts."

He said he did not know if the investigation involving Ivins "is just another false track and a real diversion of where they need to be. We don''t know, and they aren''t telling us."

Muddying the water, diversions, false tracks........
This is just more of the same from the Bush/Cheney Crime Cartel. By the time it''s made Public(if it ever is), that they were behind every aspect of 9/11, they''ll be safe in Non-Extradition Locales, guarded by the Private Neocon Mercenary Army of Blackwater, Planning and Implimenting even more elaborate Black Ops designed to keep them in Control and Rolling in Money.
How they must laugh at the Gullible Retardds that voted them into power.......

Does this sound familiar:

Rumsfeld & Cheney''s Dirty Litlle Spy Secret, they covered it up...........

"One of the most controversial issues surrounding Project MK-ULTRA involved the mysterious death of Dr. Frank Olson, a scientist at Fort Detrick, Maryland, where many of these studies were conducted. According to the government''s version of events, as part of the MK-ULTRA experiments, Olson was dosed with LSD without his knowledge, and he suffered severe paranoia and a nervous breakdown. The CIA sent him to New York to see one of their psychiatrists, who recommended that Olson be placed into a mental institution for recovery. On his last night in New York, Olson allegedly threw himself out his hotel room window, plunging to his death. Skeptics of this story argue that his death may be a murder, pointing to the questionable nature of the research Olson was involved with. A grand jury inquiry of Olson''''s death was approved on April 27,1996 and on the same day former CIA chief William disappeared and his remains were found in a lake." Wikepedia CIA activities in the USA.& NY Times April 1, 2001 " What did the CIA do to Eric Olsons father".

"A thorough investigation, which will likely never be forthcoming, could very lead lead straight back to *** Cheney''''s office--a staged attack, Ivin as a cutout for the bad guy, and another phony excuse to invade Iraq."

There was a time when I would have told you to take off the tin-foil hat. No more. Anything is possible with Cheney.

Coming as they did in the wake of 9/11, the anthrax mailings served perfectly to reinforce the "administration''s" preferred story-line...that we were under siege on all sides from terrorists everywhere. (How they got from there to "attacking Iraq will fix that" is beyond me.)

In any case, Ivins is still innocent no matter how handy his "suicide" is for the real perpetrators of the anthrax mailings.

Sounds like the Bushites turned this investigation over to the Monica Goodling crowd--incompetent, but right-wing politically reliable, as well as ready, willing, and able to kiss up, kick down.

And where is the Right Wing Talking Head Brigade on how suspicious this suicide is?

Ever hear of anyone killing themselves with Tylenol?

A thorough investigation, which will likely never be forthcoming, could very lead lead straight back to *** Cheney''s office--a staged attack, Ivin as a cutout for the bad guy, and another phony excuse to invade Iraq.
