Judging from his apparently TOTAL lack of ability of any kind, he couldn''t have done this much damage AWAKE, either.

No, it took Bill Clinton sabotaging the country to set the stage for the bumbling Bush to fall into every booby trap Clinton laid...

These crew members are in a sealed compartment, so how were they caught sleeping. Even if they did fall asleep so what, their radio communications are loud enough to wake the dead if something comes up. I think this is another case of false reporting and headline glorifying for the press.

50 years ago when I served in the USAF these airmen would be dishonorable discharged for dereliction of duty and their commander would have been demoted. But it''''s a different age and different kind of politicial administration.

Yes, now our President is a former drug addict who went AWOL from the National Guard to run for election, and the President before him was a draft dodger who NEVER HAD ANY MILITARY SERVICE AT ALL.

It''s only fitting that today''s military is a reflection of its commanders-in-chief...

the Minot-based crew had code devices that were no longer usable, since new codes had been installed in the missiles

Oh, great, they were asleep AND their codes couldn''t have been used to launch the missile.

IF THERE HAD BEEN AN ACTUAL ORDER TO LAUNCH, THEY COULDN''T HAVE LAUNCHED EVEN IF THEY WERE AWAKE.

Oh, yah. That makes me feel MUCH better.

Um. Wait...

When Gen. George Patton stumbled over a sleeping soldier, he order the guy, "Get back down there son, you''re the only one who knows what he''s trying to do around here."

Since they''re part of the New Evangelical Crusades Air Force, maybe they weren''t asleep, they were having a prayer session.
