WELL, THE BANKS SHOULD GIVE THE PEOPLE ALL OF THEIR MONEY BACK THAT THEY HAVE PAID INTO THE HOUSE AT THE POINT OF FORECLOSURE; RATHER THAN LEAVING THEM COMPLETELY DEVASTATED AND PENNILESS! THE BANKS ARE CROOKS AND THE GOVERNEMNT ALLOWS IT!

IF A PERSON HAS BEEN PAYING ON THEIR HOUSE FOR 10 YEARS, THEN LOSES THEIR JOB AND CAN''T MAKE 3 PAYMENTS AND THE BANK FORCLOSES ON THE HOUSE; THE BANK SHOULD REFUND THE PAST 10 YEARS WORTH OF PAYMENTS, IF THEY TAKE THE HOUSE!

BANKS HAVE BEEN GETTING AWAY WITH THIEVERY FOR WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO LONG! THEY SHOULDN''T BE ALLOWED TO TOTALLY FINANCIALLY ANNHILIATE PEOPLE, SIMPLY BECAUSE OF JOB LOSS DUE TO DOWNSIZING, ETC.

Suicide is the ultimate expression of selfishness. It seeks an escape from emotional problems without regard to the emotional problems it inflicts on others.

Do not justify suicide. Be against it. Do not give people an easy out, give them instead reasons to avoid it.

Are you kidding DSR57? Have you no heart at all? Can you imagine the clinical depression this person was in? Heartless ***? Yes - you are.

I am totally serious....Do you think her kids and husband what their debt paid or their mother back???? Seriously all she did is Cause more grief and more debt.

I''m not heartless. all I did was say what responsible people that know better than killing themselves over a house are thinking. How about you quit feeling sorry for her and start feeling sorry for her kids as I''m sure this won''t scar them or anything .

And I just happen to think anyone that kills themself is a loser and a coward. Also the world is better off without them because yyou know what??? There is ALWAYS someone that has it worse than you do, what makes you so special that your problems are just TOO MUCH to handle.

Actually there are insurance policies out there that have a no pay clause for suicide for a period of 1 year.
The biggger issue is that she deserted her family. I am sad to say that as things in this country get worse thanks to the current "Drunks on Wall Street"
as per George Bush...We will see more people who feel hopeless and seek an easy out.

Americans worked until July 16, 2008 to pay taxes for federal, state and local government. Just imagine how different this wage earning family''s finances would have been if they could have kept more of their own money.

i didn''t think life insurance policies would pay if the cause of death was suicide. if hers will, good for her family, but i have my doubts.

When reading this article, I could see Snidely Whiplash banging on the door, looking for the rent.

Alas, she is now tied to the railroad tracks!

And where is Dudley at?

It''s really sad to read a story like this yeah, but at the same time, anyone who kills themselves because they couldn''t pay their mortgage has much deeper issues than financial to begin with.

Although I don''t agree with the government sticking a pacifier in the mouths of the idiot mortgage companies who issued the sub prime mortgages and started half this mess, you don''t buy a home unless you can pay the mortgage. Do things happen? Sure, jobs are lost, catastrophic illnesses occur, people die. There are many reasons other than just not making enough money that lead to this. She could have had an addiction that had her squandering the payment; we don''t know. However, the saddest part of all is that her note intended to suggest that her death and the subsequent insurance payment would save the home. I don''t know of any policies that don''t have a suicide clause and won''t pay for that type of death. Just very sad.

I wish the woman with the gun in her mouth would look at the world as a ''glass half full'' kinda place.

For example, Leona Helmsly''s dog just inherited $12 million! And she left the rest of her billions to take care of dogs all over America!

This suicide woman could have had a GOOD life...
if she''d just been born a dog...

I am sorry that the injustice of our nation drove you to such a desperate act.

I very seldom disagree with you ST, but there is no injustice involved here, other than her own injustice against her husband who trusted her to RESPONSIBLY handle the family''s finances.

how awful it is that greedy banks and mortgage companies are causing people to kill themselves.....

Lenders don''t make people kill themselves. How absurd.

This woman more then likely killed herself because she betrayed her husband''s trust and spent the money on other things than the mortgage.
